Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the US...And so what??Every weekend people die there from gun violence..So how do you fix that???

What it comes down to isn't new laws, criminals aren't following the old ones. There is a but. How about making it a mental health issue (it really is one usually). Of the mass shooters all were on psychotropic drugs. One example. Another you're a veteran so there's something wrong with you? My thinking is just the opposite, but mental health checks would let you know more. And not by some quack who gave speeches so they have dozens of diplomas on their wall, that is how most get more than one. What do you think?
