The airports in San Francisco have now outlawed bottled water. You can bring your own reusable bottle to use but no more bottled water. At first this sounds sensible. I h**e plastics ruining our landfills and oceans. Let’s look past the feel good politics of this.
Soft drinks and juices, both in heavier plastic bottles are not banned. So will people just switch to them? Not all, but many. What do I find the most bizarre? In a city where you need a feces and syringe map to walk safely they are worried about and patting themselves on the back for banning bottled water at the airport. Maybe there is something in the water out there.

Then you duck into a hotel or other business to escape the smell of feces and used syringe strewn sidewalks to see a mandatory wall plaque: "This establishment uses chemicals known by the State of California to cause blah blah blah..."

Where are the plaques on the street cautioning of the diseases and other horrors contractable from used needles and human waste?
