Haggai chapter 2

Verse 1 - 5

God would not let David build the temple. But Jesus preached in a temple built by Herod. These verses explain why. We are the temple of God.God wants a personal relationship with all of us. The churches deceive us. None of us can be sure that we can be saved now. Read the sixth chapter of Matthew. We don’t fast the way Jesus said to fast. Pray the way Jesus said to pray. Give the way Jesus said to give. We are letting Pharisees lead us to Christ.

Verse 6 - 9

There is a great shaking coming. Things that we believe in will disappoint us. Government has limitations. They can give my wife my piano, but not my ability to play piano. They may want to arrest you for punishing your child. They will arrest your child if you don’t.

Verse 10 - 14

If you enter a church were the bible is not taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse, you may be unclean. If you tithe to a church that teaches traditions of men, and not the word of God, you are being deceived.

Verse 15 - 19

Going to church should improve the quality of your life. When the word of God is taught by a man that understands, and obeyed by the listeners, the quality of life improves.

Verse 20 - 23

The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord. Some of us aren’t going to heaven, heaven is coming here. God will bring vengeance and retribution on the enemies of God and those that don’t know God, but He will bless His children. His children should lead humble lives until God lifts us up.
