You wrote, "China doesn't have a prayer in the trade war." No, not anymore. Under G.W. Bush, the trade war with China began moving in China's favor, but still the US was well ahead. Under Obama, the trade war ratcheted up with our side surrendering more and more of our advantage to China until it looked like we would lose it completely. Now the balance is rapidly shifting back to a strong USA. Unless there is a drastic change, we will not lose to China.

Wrong, it was Billy Clinton who signed a bill giving China "MOST FAVORED NATION STATUS" IN 1994.
look it up. It seems the left is alway sticking a fork in America's eye.

That's what Obama said.

We buy their toys.
China buys our food.
Who's going to get hungry first?

I h**e to agree with Kemmer and disagree with you, but you are only half right. China can get soybeans from a lot of places. You are right in that we do not have to buy their toys.

Too late to establish pipelines and for other countries to grow that many Soy beans to meet the needs of China. It will take years to establish adequate trading partners.
China will cave in and become a fair partner with America.

No you are wrong. The US has always had serious competition for the Chinese soybean market. Brazil is happy to meet their demand. Granted Brazil is being stretched but, so far China is not in trouble. I seem to remember that Brazil's crop was superior in quality to the US crop. Now it could be a little different in pork. China has a serious pork shortage brought on by swine flu.

Its interesting how liberals are constantly trapped in projection, for example, right wing (conservative) philosophy and objectives are pretty much the same today as they were 55 years ago under Barry Goldwater; in other words, we haven't moved further to the right at all. On the other hand, liberals of today (think any of the current Democrat candidates for President) are dramatically further left than liberals of that same era (think JFK).

China is scrambling to import food from other than the United States. That's a huge problem for both sides of any deal that would solve the food import crisis.
China will cave in, they have to eat.

What was once defined as liberal no longer describes those who identify with the modern Democrat party, the party of l*****t extremism. Those Democrats who are truly liberal are a small minority today.

There used to be a liberal party and a democratic party, liberals were also not c*******ts they were liberals, c*******ts were c*******ts, we've now whitewashed everyone into just two groups left and right, not a good idea for the exact reason we see happening today, polarization.

The right keeps losing their base and to prevent people from joining the left they created this negative party association, just as they are still doing today, calling democrats c*******ts, and you all buy it. It is a h**eful and extremely offensive to any American, yet you all continue to do it all the while yammering about how the left is full of h**e, take a look at yourselves and what you and our so-called president spew.

You're kidding, are you serious? If you want to go back to Goldwater era, Liberals and Democrats were not of the same party, so let's get that straight, and ever since the tea party the Republican party as moved so far to the extreme right, Goldwater and Regan would be as Democratic as Obama.

You wrote, "...who takes the freedom of choice away from the people, I don't know one American from the left or the right who would want that to happen."

What about all the Americans who favor elimination of our 1st Amendment, or even the entire Bill of Rights and some Articles or clauses in our constitution? This runs the gamut from political correctness, to shouting down those whose speech you don't approve of, to violently attacking those whose ideologies you don't approve of. And when someone who does not have an opposing view is beaten up because they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time; it is shrugged off.

Analyzing the General Social Survey (which is a survey the left approves of given to college students from coast to coast) finds that even though students answered they were in favor of allowing a public speech by a controversial speaker, such as a c*******t or a militant atheist, among all respondents with college experience, majorities of Democrats believed that speakers expressing offensive or controversial views should not be allowed to give a talk on their campus even if invited. Sizable minorities of Republicans agreed. In other words, speech advocating c*******m or militant reaction against those who don't agree with the accepted narrative of the left; are not offensive.

So these Americans are in favor of giving up their first Amendment rights to be dictated by their leadership on what speech is to be permitted.

First, when you are referring to a political party please don't refer them as "you" You are assuming things to be of my opinion when they are not necessarily, it is a party platform you're speaking of and I'm an independent/non-affiliated. Since when did I ever disapprove of someone's speech? And if I did I would still let them talk, so get down from your high horse and condemnations directly to me.

Your grandstanding, I don't know anyone who wants to take away our First Amendment or our Bill of Rights. Your comment is an emotional rant which is baseless and has no credibility thereby giving this post none either. Go spew your vomit over someone else, its pure propaganda you bought into and are regurgitating.
Freaking Republican women, geez

Second, the actions of a few does not equate to the whole.

I agree to half of what you say, c*******ts may very well be extreme socialists and you are correct it can only be done by an authoritarian rule, who takes the freedom of choice away from the people, I don't know one American from the left or the right who would want that to happen.

No, not all liberals love c*******m, I would say none because if what you're saying is true, they wouldn't be a liberal my friend, they would be a c*******t, you see how that works don't you? Just as a Democrat is not a liberal, there are differences in their ideologies. But as of late the far right in their propaganda agenda, want to whitewash everyone the same color to anyone who is left of the far right. This really does hurts America, as we've witnessed the damage this polarization causes, in its intention to divide us, and it is working very efficiently, wouldn't you agree?

Yes, the division is moving forward full steam ahead. The thing that gets me about all of the so-called "socialism" h**ers is this one little fact: the majority of the current Trump supporters who constantly slam socialism gladly receive Social Security or Medicare...….both of which are 'socialist' programs. Funny how its a "bad thing" if you support it, but an "expected" and great tool if they need it. sad.

I was forced to pay into those programs from their beginning.
Had I invested the money I paid into those programs, I'd be much better off than getting what the government decides I get for my faithful contributions to their programs.
I take those benefits out of spite. And I make sure that I squander every penny of my social security payments. Champagne money, I keep my own money for the essentials.

I worked for Social Security for a while. You can actually "deny" the money if you want -they have no problem with that. Yes, investing in stocks has the potential to pay off big -if you're lucky. Taking the benefits out of spite is not helping those who really need those benefits. You would feel better if you just denied the money since you don't really need it.
