He was not his friend. They were acquaintances over 15 years ago and their last communication was Trump throwing him out of his club.

How can you sleep at night knowing that just about everything you say is a lie? Doesn't it bother you just a little bit that no one believes anything you have to say? The Trumps went to to El Paso and Dayton to meet with the victims and their families. The uncle of the baby whose parents were k**led asked to meet with Trump and tell him about the baby's parents and family. The President and Melania agreed to meet, and the brother said he was very grateful that the President and Melania were so comforting and gave their sincere condolences. (I wouldn't be surprised if that baby's college education is now paid for, and that the mortgage of the deceased parents' home was paid off - Trump does that kind of thing.) That's just one story - the Trumps met with many other victims in the hospitals and gave their support.

President Trump right away condemned r****m and w***e s*******y. Right away, he rallied all in Congress and Senate to enact a law, with very strict requirements on gun control, and strict mental exam for people owning guns.
