Isaiah chapter 61

Verse 1 and 2

This is where Jesus reads the first two verses in Isaiah 61 in Luke 4:18 and 19. But He only reads half of verse two.. He later says this day is this scripture fulfilled in your eyes, in Luke 4:21. When Jesus returns, He will bring the pain,

Verse 3

When Jesus returns, He will take vengeance on the enemies of God, and those who don’t know God, then He will bless His children. God commanded that we love one another

Verse 4 - 6

Read 2 Chronicles 7:14. We will build, uplift, and encourage; instead of tearing down and discouraging. For things to get better, we have to make better decisions. We should live humble lives until God lifts us up.

Verse 7 and 8

The little we do for God will pay off in the next life Have faith in God. But don’t fool yourself.You cannot be led to Christ by someone who never followed Christ. Worship without obedience will accomplish nothing.

Verse 9 - 11

When the word of God is taught by a man who understands, and obeyed by the listeners, the quality of life improves.
