The USA E*******l College

As far as the Presidency and Vice-Presidency are concerned, the overall popular v**e has never been thought of... Congressional Representation of each Individual State is the key, as the P**********l/Vice-P**********l e******ns are won thru an E*******l College based on each States' Congressional Representation...

When State Legislatures force their State E*******l College Representatives to cast their v**es for anyone other than their State's P**********l/Vice-P**********l winners, they are disenfranchising their own State's Citizens' choice... And disenfranchisement is tyranny...

But how about 50/50 races where half the state v**es for the other candidate, how do you feel about people's v**e meaning nothing? How about the one person one v**e concept that is the foundation of a democracy?

Since it is a state prerogative the states that choose to honor the v**es of their populations are the ones that get it right. Especially since three red states with questionable e******n systems and policies and no willingness to recount even if they could called the e******n. Let the e*******l reflect the people's v**e.

Can you hear yourself?!? You're stating State Legislatures actually have the "prerogative" to disenfranchise their own State's Citizens' choice when their Citizens didn't "go along" with a plurality of the USA Populous V**e... How asinine can you - and those State Legislatures - be?!?

Here's the search result snippet from the web search "What are the flaws of the e*******l college" https://tinyurl.com/e*******l-college-flaws (This link is a good quick look at four flaws https://quizlet.com/106104246/flaws-in-the-e*******l-college-flash-cards/)

Here's the search results snippet from the web search "What Are the Advantages of the E*******l College" https://tinyurl.com/e*******l-college-strengths

Strengths
It requires a distribution of popular support. ...
It gives minority interests a say in the e******n. ...
It encourages political stability. ...
It maintains a system of national representation. ...
It creates the possibility of a minority president being elected.

Pros and Cons of E*******l College

Pros.
It protects minority interests. ...
It facilitates a two-party system. ...
It directs more power to the states. ...
Cons.
The person a majority of Americans favor may not win. ...
It's complicated and dissuades people from v****g. ...
Small states and swing states get more power.

Note: It would take a Constitutional Amendment to dissolve use of the E*******l College and go to direct v****g. That means it would take 38 state legislatures approving an amendment passed by Congress

It seems that, since they couldn't win the last p**********l e******n under the rules that have existed for almost 250 years, they want to change the rules. Below is an excellent explanation of why this is a very bad idea In their infinite wisdom, the United States’ Founders created the E*******l College to ensure the States were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation?

The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the E*******l College makes sense. It needs to be widely known and understood.

There are 3,141 counties in the United States.
T***p w*n 3,084 of them.
Clinton won 57.
There are 62 counties in New York State.
T***p w*n 46 of them.
Clinton won 16
Clinton won the popular v**e by approximately 1.5 million v**es.

In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan,Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more v**es that Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; T***p w*n Richmond).
Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular v**e of the entire country.

These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles. The United States is comprised of 3,797,000 square miles. When you have a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the v**e of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of
a national e******n.

Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc.) DO NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country!

I guess you have difficulties understanding English. The difference between One person, one v**e is that large population States would elect the President to the total exclusion of the smaller population States. You seem to forget that this is the United States, not the United People. The States must all have equal authority to choose the President. The only way to do that is a system like the E*******l College. One person, one v**e makes the States with large populations bullies, in that they can force their views on everyone else. It is not a difficult concept. Taxation with representation requires a system like the E*******l College.

Those legislatures were elected and therefore do represent their constituents. Republican theory is that if the e*****rate doesn't like what they do, they can v**e them out.

The problem is, California and many other states registers people to v**e when they either apply for or renew their drivers license. I******s now are getting state ID's and drivers licenses. Now what?

That's easy, the Democrats win and totally take over the Executive branch for several generations. That's the plan and it's right on schedule with Republican help.
