Pkease listen to some facts. The USA has not the power, the right, or the obligation to "FIX" any other sovereign nation, as clearly shown by all the many, many hundreds of millions of dollars the US has given each of those countries, and Mexico, year after year, yet nothing changes there. Only the citizens of a nation have the right to decide change is needed or the power to force change to happen. Nothing the USA could do will change any of these corrupt cesspit nations that have been that way forever. What the USA NEEDS to do is open our eyes to the simple fact that all these nations, especially Mexico, has a history of constantly s**mming and exploiting the US for their own gain. None of them are good neighbors and never will be. None of them are going to do anything real to actually help the USA stop the foreign invasion of its borders because to do so would be AGAINST their interests. Each of these nations benefit greatly every day that more of their burdensome citizens enters our country because their remittances home of USA dollars increases (currently tens of billions annually). So, every year, their are getting not only the hundreds of millions charitable gift from us, they also are rid of hundreds of thousands of their bad citizens and, in turn, receive tens of billions of dollars those citizens, in essence, steal from us (on top of the theft of free education, free medical care, welfare, etc). Nothing is going to change about our southern border OR the literal invasion of third world needy, greedy s**mming foreigners, both legal and illegal, refugees/asylees/TPS/etc, until we wrest control of our country away from the l*****t crazies and have a Congress that actually works for the USA and American citizens.

Central and South America have been embroiled violence due to drug and human trafficking that began 50 years ago. It started in Columbia and spread out. The United States' "War on Drugs" began with Nixon and has been a thorn in the side of every administration since. The "root causes" of the crisis down there were planted by Latin American criminals in and out of governments. The crisis has escalated ever since. It has grown into a monster. Obviously Donald Trump had no hand in that, so STFU about President Trump not doing anything about it.

The 14 deaths were from people, mostly children, who came here deathly ill in the first place. Your correct when you say it could have been easily avoided because the parents of these children should have never brought them here in the first place. It is the parents fault, not the border patrols. Parents are supposed to watch out and protect their children, not subject them to life endangering situations, like two thousand mile walks with no medical care along the way.
