Incrementally, until no one is allowed to own a gun. We keep legislating more and more gun laws and the problem has become worse in the perception of the media.

Being "allowed" to own a gun, and owning one......that's two different things. Gun ownership in
this country outnumbers the population, which means that most, if not ALL, people who own
guns, own more than one. I talked to a guy in Upper Michigan about this and he just laughed
and said they don't have a clue how many guns are in the hands of citizens so how are they ever
going to know if they got them all.

I have always wondered, too, WHO are they going to send door to door to confiscate the guns?
Because I don't know ANY gun owner who would turn them in voluntarily. The police? The
National Guard? I doubt it. I don't the Guardsmen would follow the order, and I think the police are smart enough to know that it would be Bloody Sunday on a lot of doorsteps if they tried it. Besides
most law enforcement are FOR an armed citizenry because they can't get there in time. (My father in law was a police Lt..). The police don't prevent crime.....they show up AFTER the crime has been committed,
so they are investigating, not preventing.

That's the problem with incrementalism. It doesn't happen all at once. After Hurrican Katrina in NOLA a small city across the bridge had the police confiscate all legal firearms from law-abiding citizens and there was nothing anyone could do about it at the time. Afterward, they had to register a complaint and go to court to get their guns back because by then the police had all their guns. The gun owners ultimately prevailed. However, we will see this happened more and more and escalating to a greater degree because there are many anti-gun people who are sympathetic to the gun grabbers in this country who don't believe in the Second Amendment. Gabby Giffords and her husband Astronaut Mark Kelly (or is it Scott?) have gone off the deep end because a nut shot and almost k**led her. A real tragedy but thankfully she survived. However, they have made it their mission to lump all gun owners into one category and make everyone pay for the sin of one person. These are the people that are the most dangerous to our republic.
