I didn't know you were a certified chemical scientist! How do you know that CO2 doesn't contribute to climate warming? I believe that pouring billions of metric tons of coal soot, carbon monoxide, and other such harmful pollutants into the atmosphere definitely contributes to climate warming. These chemicals are "poking holes" in the atmosphere and allowing more of the sun's harmful rays to come through -which raises the earth's temperature, causes land slides and erosion, and even "shrinking" of the oceans. Why is it that a 6th grader can readily understand that, but so many grown azz adults can not? It's not rocket science....just plain normal, everyday science!

I'd like to see what science you are referring to that claims coal soot, carbon monoxide are "poking holes" in the atmosphere? You see, I AM a molecular/biochemical scientist, although I got out of research about 20 years ago and have been in healthcare ever since. And I have never heard of the sun's rays causing land slides and erosion.

Perhaps the reason a 6th grader can "understand" that is because they have no knowledge base to know that they are being taught a bunch of hooey.

You might find it interesting to knwo that particulate air pollution, like dust from volcanoes and "coal soot" actually can lead to cooling. It is why the phenom of nuclear winter is a worry. Some big volcanic erruptions in the past have caused cooling so significant as to lower earths average temp for many years at a time and have even caused the year without summer. You should google it.

I didn't know you were looking for a thesis -that would require more time and space than I can commit to at the moment. You say "great ideas but not workable." You haven't been to the mid-west lately then -there are huge wind mills all across Kansas. Yes, everything has some type of drawback, but the energy produced by solar and wind alternatives is not hazardous like coal or oil. We won't be one of the cleanest modern countries in the world if we continue on our current course -which is why we need to take pollution and c*****e c****e seriously now....before its too late.

You're just plain indoctrinated. Been out West plenty. Archie's son works on wind turbines. They are down like half the time for maintenance. Without subsidies they stand no chance. I really like birds, especially raptors and wind turbines fry the hell out of them or k**l them directly. We can burn cleaner fuels as we go more towards affordable renewables. this sky is falling BS is a major money grab.

You got out of it you say about 20 years ago? Perhaps you are the one in need of a "refresher" course, because even you should know that "things change with time." Here's the thing: if you put harmful pollutants into the air, land, and water continuously over time, what do you suppose will happen -nothing? Yes, even a 6th grader can understand that - why don't you?

Jedi, are you, yourself a 6th grader? You sure sound like one.

Go ahead and answer my question, child, otherwise just shut up. You don't even have the intellect to understand the difference between the pollutants you mentioned and CO2 gas. You are literally talking gibberish.

Can you explain how stopping CO2 emission will help c*****e c****e if c*****e c****e isn't effected by CO2??

You keep proving your "small mind" with the slurs and insults. YOU say that CO2 doesn't affect the climate - I say it does -therefore slowing down the emissions would help prolong the climate and environment. period. kirk out.

Who do you suppose put the damper on the subsidies to continue improvements in refining solar and wind energy? Answer: greedy, corrupt republican corporations who don't want the competition drowning them out -they couldn't care less about the environment or climate as long as they are raking in the cash. Your logic is flawed. sad.

Answer; no money and inefficient. Plenty o tax payer money still going into that industry from the govt. You're talking out you butt. So you think Republicans only care about the cash? And my logic's flawed. Some of the biggest corps are owned by liberals. See Google, Amazon, Silicon Valley. Just admit you've been partisan in your complaints and go on.

I will gladly "go on" to leave you floundering in the pubescent sea of 'alternative facts' and microwave ovens. Kirk out.

You work really hard at trying to insult and demean me, and to what end? Do you receive some kind of perverted satisfaction from always trying to put others down, is that how you make mommy proud? sad. You should be ashamed of yourself -a grown man acting like a child. really sad.

Unfortunately, I am not the type to hide anywhere from anyone. I must warn you, I can be quite formidable at slinging insults and slurs with the best of them -but the Lord has asked me to be 't***sformed.' It is quite difficult, especially for one with my background, but I am trying my best to be obedient. It is the totally unnecessary juvenile comments (like those above) that people such as you post, that while ignorant and superfluous, can be annoying. Tell you what, I will make one more attempt to respond to your posts. Should you decide to respond with unwarranted negativity, I will not comment to you going further. No one, including you is worth my disobeying God. period.

Mightily so....for I am blessed and highly favored....because I love the Lord, He loves me back even more. Have you never heard: "if you draw nigh unto the Lord, He will draw nigh unto you?" The most awesome thing about a true relationship with Christ is that His love is unconditional for those who believe in Him and the sacrifice He made on the cross. You cannot 'earn' this relationship through good deed or works, you cannot pay for it with all the gold in the world (God owns all the gold anyway) -all you can do is accept it, live it, and share it with others -all to the glory of God.

It’s called grace. A gift you don’t deserve.
