It's not like he's giving in on his principles, so why not, right? It's a bit political as well, I'm sure. Cruz nearly lost to Beto in Texas. This could get him that little bit of support to be able to more easily weather the storm of l*****t democrats from California who have moved into Texas bringing their l*****t ideals with them.

If Sen. Ted Cruz can't find a better way to improve his image and strengthen the Texas GOP, then he needs to be defeated and the Texas party needs to weaken.
