Welcome to Hotel California!!!! S.F. Planning "safe" parking lot for homeless camp!!!!
We have a homeless problem in little Coos Bay. They have figured out that the city doesn't have an impound yard for camp trailers and motorhomes and that towing companies refuse to tow them because they take up space in their yards and there is zero salvage value. Now they park these junk piles on the streets in residential areas. The police red tag them and somehow they move them down the street. More are showing up as time goes by. Five years ago this was never seen. Not even during the depression of 2008. The cities of Portland--Eugene-- and Salem give them one way bus rides here to the coast to get rid of them so we have to put up with it. Sadly-- everybody has to be somewhere.

You probably should not say it then. In the 1930s we had civilian conservation corps and the Works progress administration. It saved a lot of homeless youths with no hope of ever getting a job. We should be putting these people to work and housing them in sanitary conditions. It worked once and it could work again. Every body could benefit from re forestation --parks and trails -litter patrols etc. and the homeless could have p***e in themselves for their accomplishments. The streets should not be a dumping ground for the mentally ill which a lot of homeless are. We need more institution space. just a few of my thoughts just saying.
Amen and Amen boy they are going crazy out there aren't they?
