Federal prosecutors with the Southern District of New York investigating whether Trump Organization executives broke campaign finance laws are wrapping up their investigation and are not expected to file charges.

For months, federal prosecutors in New York have examined whether company officials broke the law, including in their effort to reimburse Michael Cohen for hush-money payments he made to women alleging affairs with his former boss, President Donald Trump. In recent weeks, however, their investigation has quieted, the people familiar with the inquiry said, and prosecutors now don't appear poised to charge any Trump Organization executives in the probe that stemmed from the case against Cohen.

While CNN cautioned the investigation has not formally concluded, and prosecutors could revive it should new evidence surface, there has been no contact between Trump Org officials and SDNY prosecutors in more than five months. The investigation was launched out of the campaign finance investigation involving President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, who allegedly made hush-money payments to two models who alleged they had affairs with Trump. Cohen plead guilty to two counts of campaign finance violations last year related to the payments he made on behalf of Trump. According to investigators, Cohen was later reimbursed by the Trump Organization. Investigators launched their inquiry to determine if Trump Org executives violated campaign finance laws with the reimbursement payments paid to Cohen.
While the president appears to be cleared in this investigation, the SDNY has at least one other ongoing Trump-connected investigation, an inquiry into the president's inaugural committee, according to CNN.

That’s the t***h!!! Imagine if they focused their efforts towards the betterment of the country instead.

They will lose the House, seats in the Senate, and the White House (again) in 2020. All because of their h**e, which is now spilling into their party, with each other.

Barr has shut down seven investigation/prosecutions out of a dozen that had spun off of Mueller investigations, he is in charge of these prosecutors even though they are supposed to be separated in terms of influence or control.

Even better, the House could actually be "Working" instead of investigating every move The President or everyone involved with him make! Let's start with cutting the budget!

We are witnessing the most corrupt administration I believe ever in the history of the United States. Trump is usurping his overreach in every branch of our government and the Dems appear to be sitting there dumbfounded with their deer in the headlights look. What's happening is they were never really prepared for something like this to happen. We didn't have enough fail safe's in place, lesson learned. The GOP, at least who now truly heads them has lawyers working on loopholes 24/7. What is technically not illegal, ethics be damned.

I’ll lean toward agreement with you in regards to H.J. Res 20, but it needs to be heavily fine tuned.

S. 42 - is not a House bill, it’s a Senate bill, and it’s pretty pointless, statistically speaking.

The remainder don’t really address the betterment of the country, so much as the betterment of subgroups of citizens.

So basically, one bill introduced here, in over two years, pretty sad. Maybe they should focus less on Trump investigations that lead to nowhere, and focus instead on their job.
