Mombasa, originally part of Zanzibar, wasn’t incorporated into Kenya until the latter became an independent nation in 1963, two years after Obama was born. Additionally, historians specializing in African history have pointed out several other anachronisms that betray the certificate as a h**x.
The timing of Malik Obama’s reposting of the forgery suggests that it’s a propaganda effort aimed at discrediting his half-brother, who has been rumored in the far-right media to be spearheading opposition to President Trump’s agenda. 1. Ignorant people and even some semi-enlightened folk did in fact call people of color negro at the time, but birth certificates were likely much more civil, especially on more enlightened areas.
2. Yes, Kenya gained it's independence from Britain in 1963, prior to that, it was called Kenya, at least since 1920 when it was renamed from British East Africa to Kenya.
3. In 1931, its name was changed to the Kapiʻolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital.
In 1978, Kauikeolani Children's Hospital moved into the new eleven-story (226-bed, 108-bassinet) Kapiʻolani/Children's Medical Center tower located at 1319 Punahou Street on the southeast corner of Punahou and Bingham streets—initially with separate entrances for the pediatricians on Bingham Street and the obstetricians on Punahou Street.
4. Barack had 3 fathers, his birth father, who left him and his mother and returned to Kenya. His mother remarried and along comes father #2, his mother's new husband. His step father later died and his step father's father became like a dad to Barack.
