Chrome works well if you have the memory for it (16MB) and you have nothing against Google/Android. If you use any of the Google services is should fit the bill. Before you switch clean things up like delete temporary files, junk only slows thing down.

You may also want to check out the Brave browser. Its fast. I find its better than Vivaldi though both get the job done.

You can also block a lot of ads, banners and other things by modifying the Windoze hosts file. Read up on it first though if you're not sure about what you're doing.

Will do... I think mozilla did an update, But here lately it has been loading very slowly when it does work.. my machine is pristine... gets cleaned every night.. regular scans for v***s and malware..etc.. So yes.. I think it's time for a change of browsers.

I have three computers this one with Netscape with 3.06 and two with Firefox Quantum, this one for general use and both Quantums for paying bills, Quantum is faster but I have nothing but time.

How often do you clear the browser cache? Not doing so can sometimes cause performance issues.

I do that a couple times a month.. and apparently I already have firefox quantum.. so we shall see.. It must of done an update or about to as I was writing a post on another thread.. before I could hit enter, firefox restarted itself.. Oh well..so we shall see, so far haven't really noticed a change in performance between the original firefox & quantum

Did you get it through Firefox? My cache is cleaned every morning before anything else is done.

Yes, although when I got to mozilla's site it said my version of firefox quantum is up to date.. I don't usually let it clean itself..guess maybe I should..I've also noticed that sometimes after an update, all my most visited sites are gone and I have to go back to said sites and put the links back manually..

That is up to date. Every computer I've had over the years Firefox is downloaded with IE and then I delete IE. Edge is a hole different game, Edge is no better than IE.
