Boulder is sooo left you can’t smoke in their city... Yup they passed a bill but people do anyway and the cops don’t enforce it.. They meaning their little overt municipality, they meaning Boulder City Council v**ed unanimously to adopt the outdoor smoking ban, the latest in a series of bans that started with a prohibition on smoking on the Pearl Street Mall in 2012. From 2012 to now its
Boulder smokers will no longer be able to light up in the downtown business district, in city parks, open space or within 25 feet of bus stops, multi-use paths and entrances to buildings...

People need to take them to task but instead they just move out of the area..Vapes are included and pot of course.. Legal in the state, Boulder, says not here, not in public etc..
That city is pure dem dwellers...

They’ve tried to limit guns, ammo etc too but did get taken to court and they dropped their restrictions rather than getting new law on the books that would have bit them in the preverbal butt!!!
You speak the t***h, Seth... Those large numbers a... (show quote)

Back in 1991, my soon to be hubby and I moved from Santa Cruz Ca. to Black Hawk CO... when we got settled.. we had to go stock up on supplies.. we were at the top with black hawk proper on one side and nederland in the other.. so we go to boulder, soon to be hubby says I will make you a bet.. within 20 min you'll be beggin me to get you the hell outta "Town" and back home.. ..Well the first part of the journey was down town... we saw at least 40 ppl on the mall that were dead heads following the grateful dead..that we had JUST seen down town Santa Cruz on the Pacific Garden Mall.. Which I fondly refer to well for over 20 years as the "PATHETIC garden mall".
Some of the "grateful dead" stuff I like the rest I could do w/out...but I digress..
He was right...we got our groceries and supplies and yes I begged him to get me the hell outta town...and from then til present day.. I h**e goin to town.. and when I do.. I practically run through the store.. get what I want and get gone...as I've stated in a few previous posts I always felt like a guppie in a shark tank in CA..

I did like the folks in blackhawk where I worked as a janitor/cocktail waitress/valet supervisor..This was at one place.. I wore 3 hats there..not even sure if it's still there... I had a blast with most of the folks there.. and at that time.. gambling had a $5.00 max bet.. Gov. Romer I think at that time.. he didn't want gambling, but saw that it could reap some economic benefit.. so he allowed it but at the 5 buck max bet.. whether that bet was on a slot or a table.. so ya may not lose your house gambling but chances are you wouldn't be winning one either...

Monterey & Carmel CA banned smoking in public Many years ago...even before I left Santa Cruz, to move to Auburn CA.. so around 2000...and I'd bet that it's Enforced in a major way..!!
In some parts of California if you smoke.. and have kids, it's against the law to smoke with them in the car... Ok I get it... however.. when I was a child Everyone smoked!!.. it was the thing to do...If and I do say IF second hand smoke is really as bad as they say, the way my family smoked I'd of been dead already!!.. we are talkin ALL of my family from the 60's to NOW.. I am a smoker though tryin to quit.. (the cost is rediculous) but at 57 years old my Oxygen is at 97%.. Now they've come out with 3rd hand smoke.. if your dog licks your couch or rug..or a kid picks up a pillow to suck on they will get nicotine poisoning...the thinking is the smoke eventually settles on to everything.. I am not disputing this fact.. but my dog is just fine.. all my dogs lived to be from 11 - 14 years old.. hmm.. and not miserable or ill in any way.. they died of old age.

I may have also stated that I've pretty much always been conservative..my soon to be hubby's parents were of the Goldwater era in AZ..So VERY conservative...their son was at AZ state U, hoping for a scolarship for basketball..chuckles but he'd of been the runt of the litter in today's basketball as far as stature went as he was only 6.4 and about 190 lbs... I guess his folks were pretty strict with him so he did the kid thing and rebelled... so he was a dem.. NOT this NEW breed of dem... He got drafted into the Vietnam war.. I think he was hopin his daddy could pull some strings, his GPA wasn't Quite enough so.. off he went... He did two tours over there.. Most of this I found out after we were married... In the Old days you were either a Dem or GOP.. there wasn't much grey area back then..

There is a Book by Richard H. Thaler & Cass Sunstein, called "Nudge-Improving decisions about Health, Wealth & Happiness".. How the Left socialist wing nuts are going to try to get us to "eat right", "Spend money right", "speak right" etc etc ad nausea..

The first example they give to this is this in the introduction: The Cafeteria, (total paraphrase but I do Own the book) as in if they put the nutritious stuff at eye level and the cakes n pies up high.. kids will be more apt to grab the healthy stuff.. In theory.. They make a candy bar too expensive for a kid to buy but fruit will be cheap.. so supposedly they'd grab the fruit.. if they put the Unhealthy stuff we buy up high and the Nutritious stuff at eye level we will be more apt to grab the healthy stuff...In Theory!.. I read enough of that.. I will continue to read the book even though I find it nauseating!.. it's NOT the healthy stuff so much that Nauseates me it's the insidiousness of this game plan..

Fast forward to today, the Dems/Libs say there is a ton of grey area.. and yes there is some grey area on the right as well.. but not according to the far left regime.. as far as they are concerned if ya don't agree you are either blown off as not important.. OR.. you are dangerous to them..Because we think for ourselves, and not tug the party line..we go on what we have seen & they go on what the party says..and with their hearts say.. and sometimes there's not a lot of heart in the financial area..pragmatism, spend it where it's needed and lose some fat off the coffers.. as in root bound officials tryin to justify their jobs so they spend.. that is a dem fact of life.. they argue.. (Not to be confused with a healthy debate)..they insult, they name call.. they TRY to ostrisize.. Although for the record, some of the Libs here are probably very nice folks when not talking about politics..

Go ahead fill me in. keep in mind we're speaking Liberal and not Democratic. I guess I'm not.

Republican politicians have railed against liberal and activist judges for years, conservatives have enjoyed great success in advancing their principles through the court system for most of the past half-century.
The Supreme Court has had a consistent majority of Republican-appointed justices since 1970, and in recent decades it has moved the law rightward on private property, church and state, federal power, firearms regulation, criminal procedure and administrative governance. I don't know about your book but in mine, that's a long time.

I have a few years on you. I am old enough. I remember when LBJ and Ted Kennedy put their pointy heads together to re-write i*********n l*ws to favor third worlders from Latin America. I still say that this was to provide a bunch of semi-literate peons who are used to knuckling under to authority to shore up the frequently robbed Social Security Fund. Problem is these wetbacks cost us ten times what they contribute.

There are several states you can smoke weed.. I live in one of them, It's both Medically legal as well as recreationally legal. Personally, I smoke weed over taking opiates for pain, both from chronic health issues as well as breast cancer!.. I H**E pills, I h**e Big pharma even more.. even though the chemicals put in my body to get rid of the cancer were just as toxic, those I am grateful for, and in all honesty those cancer drugs are not nearly as bad as they were even in 1992 when my mom had her breast cancer.. that's Not to say that even today that s**t isn't toxic.. bc it is!.. as well as the radiation.. ugh.. but hey.. doc said too soon to tell if it all actually worked.. we shall see..
