After 2024 we will have a new president of the USA.... and I feel sorry for that person. That individual will need to have a spotless history.... no small issue will go unnoticed. They will not be the typical politician who can get away with a stretch and distort the t***h in any situation and they will need to be strictly monogamous from birth to the time of e******n.

From Clinton's emphatic proclamation, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman,” or Richard Nixon’s Watergate defense, “I am not a crook,” the lesson is the same: politicians lie. LBJ lied about Vietnam, JFK about his sex life, FDR about his health but the biggest lie.."I have said this before, but I shall say it again and again and again: your boys are not going to be sent into any foreign wars." And President George W. Bush out-fibbed them all when he said there was “no doubt” Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, falsely justifying America’s entry into yet another horrific war. Anyone who lost their doctor under obama knows that he was anything but honest.

And we all knew it these men lied, indeed expected it. To be sure, the sheer number of times that Trump has stretched or distorted the t***h can be hard to keep up with, but a liar is still a liar whether he lies seven times a day or once a week.

So... what will be the standard for the next president? To be sure, in the age of Trump, every word, deed, and tweet are examined under a microscope. Journalists scrutinize every perceived deception and talk show hosts have made politics the center of their nightly programming like never before. Yet I celebrate this change, it is time to find a "truly righteous person" to be president..... but, among us is there one person ????? who can be elected under the new rules?

Well, there's me. But, I don't want the job.

Oh, wait a minute.....I did once behave abusively towards a gay man who was being too gay towards me.

And there's the time that I farted under the sheets without warning Mrs. Bunker first.

What else......let me think........

I once shot my neighbors dog for chasing my horses.

I smoked pot in high school (but that's cool now)

I've installed the toilet paper backwards, and left the toilet seat up more times than I can count.

Dang.....I guess I'm not your guy after all...

In all honesty... I could care less about the majority of lies politicians (and others) tell... I am far more concerned about their ability (or at least the strength of their attmpts) to fulfill the platforms that I v**ed for...

I doubt very much if a 'righteous' man could accomplish much of anything in the political field of today...

I will happily allow for exaggeration/ fibs/ bending the t***h/ spin/ etc if it means my platforms are supported/ implemented... I will even allow for outright lies and attempts at personal enrichment... Just so long as my platforms are made a priority...

So far y'all have been mighty lucky, land done damn well, under Trump's leadership

KAG and Nikki Haley for 2024

Mornin CD!

I just got to thinking, I wonder which way Trump prefers the toilet paper to be installed? Over, or under? And why hasn't someone asked such an important question?

It depends. The bar was set so low in 2016, that one of two things will happen; the first you've presented, the second is the attitude "well, they can't be any worse than Trump".

My wife is a very understanding lady... S'long as I don't touch her roll ( under) ...

The bar has been getting lower for years. Its even lower for the current crop of democrat candidates. There are still some good democrats out there but they won’t run. Who can blame them?

The question is why do we allow this to happen?

There are no perfect human beings, only some who think they are, to be avoided at all costs. But we do still have some honest citizebs who love America and want to keep it America for Americans, without foreigners just wanting to exploit us for their own material gain. The problem is the place to find leaders with these desired qualities is the middle class of natural born Americans descending from generations of the same. But no middle class citizen, even upper middle class has access to the money necessary to run for any office beyond local today. If we could fill every seat in Congress with financially strong and thrifty middle class citizens, we could pay off our national debt, return our government to a proper size, reform all our policies/programs to reflect ONLY our best interest, stop subsidizing most of the world, get our citizens off welfare and back to work being contributing citizens, etc. None of our country's problems are very complicated but we do not have leaders in our government that actually want to solve them or have the backbone to make the sometimes hard decisions to do so.

I believe we need a 3rd political party. I am s**k of the Dummycrats and Republican. They have both been corrupted by greed and the quest for power. The real Americans in this country are fed up. I think a 3rd party would flourish in this country. Why not give it a try???

Under the current political climate, not even Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha or even God himself could qualify for the Presidency.

Unfortunately, with the way the e*******l college v**es are allocated, no third party will have a chance. It will only work as a stopper against one or the other of the major parties. Like Perot preventing George H W Bush's ree******n in 1992 or the Green party's stopping (allegedly) Hillary's e******n in 2016.
