(maybe before as well that they started teaching that bulls**t mentality) NO it was NOT.. it was about states rights.. the right to sell the goods of the south.. tobacco.. cotton etc over seas, because they could get more money for their product.. the s***ery issue didn't come into it til the Last year of the Civil War, though some would say different...Something that I have Always known is that It's Democrats that owned s***es..there were democrats in the North that also Owned s***es and were resistant to giving that up..
