Let me make a correction in your statement, Pete. It should read: "Taken 'OUT OF' the context in which they were said." I have listened to the entire interview with Tucker Carlson and if you leave everything in the context of a conversation, which it was, then it makes perfect sense. This was not presented in a writing or an article, but in an impromptu and flexible discussion. President Trump is given to using parenthetic expressions and off-the-cuff statements which much of the time don't t***slate into precise, grammatically correct sentences. This seems to be a mechanism used by some posters on OPP as well as CNN and other media to nitpick rather than to examine what is actually being said. Heaven forbid you should parse what AOC and other liberals are saying on a daily basis. When you run out of sensible material, you resort to this kind of two-bit criticism.

This is a serious subject , I think, and I'm no expert, that Lyndon B Johnson, had the same speech characteristics, we all know he was behind that nasty assassination, I'm not sure if that was what caused his speech propensity of recklessness, but many say he went a bit batty doing the job.

Phonetics is language sounds and the ideas about phonetics come from the absolute meaning of sign language, so the grammar and syntax is secondary to overridden fluent conversation and presentation, sometimes heavy deviation for generally accepted normal chit-chat becomes a reverse psychological meaning usually portrayed by the graphics of figurative understandings.

It's widely used in Religious proselytism.

Lets parse the sentence, "There are USA concentration camps set up and running on the southern border."

And, "This is what we see while they are presumably on their best behavior."

But you have to remember that it's Pete's brain that is hearing DJT's speech and his few remaining brain cells (koolaid will do that to you) hear and interpret so slowly that it only picks up 1 of every 5-7 words … and we ALL know DEMON-RATS have selective hearing.

Criticism of Trump's inability to master the English language is minor compared to the other egregious acts by our president. Is is still pathetic that it is difficult to t***slate our President's gibberish into correct sentences.

Agreed. Full context should explicitly include the actual subject he is responding to.

I listened. Cleared my throat sympathetically a number of times. Used four tissues. I have strong empathic qualities.

Still waiting. What was the effing point? What was the subject of the question he was responding to?

It seems he confused a question regarding global "western liberalism" with specific issues regarding American west coast cities.....

I admit to a degree of uncertainty of interpretation, as I don't speak or think in sniffling, grunting, gesticulating circular logical sinkholes.

Sorry. Excuse me while I go try to clear my ears, and sinuses, again.

How far are you going to take this hang-up of yours? Have you seen a psychologist about this?
