Scary But True, New Mexico Now Going The Way Of Other Liberal States.....

I guess I could have titled this "Another Liberal Failure Looming On The Horizon".

Bracing for Socialism in New Mexico

New Mexico’s socialist governor, Michelle Lujan-Grisham, wants to k**l Trump’s wall and the oil and gas industry.

(The Oil and Gas Industry in NM, one of the few MAJOR revenue producers for the state).

From Liberty Nation, by Sarah Cowgill / political writer.

All but abandoned by conservatives and the Republican Party, the Land of Enchantment is now run by a statewide Democrat super-majority and freshly captained by a governor hell-bent on dismantling a struggling economy.

Michelle Lujan-Grisham

Less than six weeks into her first term as governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan-Grisham (D) has reignited the call to disarm residents through a plethora of punitive gun control bills. She is ready to eviscerate rural landowners, farmers, and ranchers with House Bill 366, the so-called “Wildlife protection and public safety act” that would ban all trapping on public lands – hitting violators with the heaviest fines in the nation.

That’s not all: She wants to tap into the state’s Land Grant Permanent Fund – a $17 billion asset – to pay for raising the minimum wage and state employee salaries, and to create budget-busting l*****t pet projects.

But the latest affront to New Mexican dignity is Lujan-Grisham’s decision to pull National Guard troops from the border in defiance of President Trump’s demand for a wall, coupled with a proposed piece of legislation that would tank the fledgling resurrection of the oil and gas industry – a double whammy to create absolute dependence on the government.

The Wall

President Trump, by all accounts, delivered a stellar State of the Union – a call for Congress to get off its high horse and get busy doing the work of the American people, and that includes funding to secure the southern border. Within hours of Trump’s declaration that National Guard troops were on the ground to assist ICE and border patrol agents, Lujan-Grisham ordered the soldiers from Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Wisconsin out of the state, warning that “New Mexico will not take part in the president’s charade of border fear-mongering by misusing our diligent National Guard troops.”

(Lets not forget here folks, that just a few months later, Gov. Grisham was in Washington ASKING for help at the border, from ICE and Homeland Security, and of course, more money to fund both the border situation and her pet projects. Make no mistake, Gov. Grisham is corrupt to the core, a complete liberal lunatic fanatic, and anytime she can swipe money to enrich her friends, she will. In fact, ITS ALREADY HAPPENED..!!) ...t....

She also released the most ridiculous of promotional videos of herself busting through drywall, which needs a look see – if one has the stomach for exceptionally poor production.

When this news hit the airwaves, the thinking men and women of New Mexico were aghast at her blatant disregard for her southern county constituents. Josie Slaughter of Mimbres called the governor out immediately: “Rhetoric that the ranchers have requested help and she ignores entirely because it doesn’t meet the liberal agenda?” And Andrea J Cecur warned, “Then you’ll have to own it when SHTF.”

And it will.

But perhaps the idea with the most promise comes from Betty Heppler of Albuquerque, who advised: “She really should go back down to the border alone maybe they will kidnap her.”

It only makes sense to the socialists now running the state.

Nope, No Drilling Here

Without a doubt, the most productive and economy-boosting industry in the Southwest is oil and gas. And that’s Lujan-Grisham’s next target for obliteration. State Senators Antoinette Sedilla Lopez (D-16) and Benny Shendo (D-22) introduced a new legislative agenda through Senate Bill 459, which would place a four-year ban on state-issued oil and gas permits that involve hydraulic fracturing (fracking) so state officials can “study” the practice’s environmental impacts. Sedilla Lopez is a Lujan-Grisham appointee – and wasted no time in doing the bidding of the alt-left governor.

Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway is up in arms:

“Frankly, we’re just astonished that some of the same people who are clamoring to spend all of the money made for the state through the oil and gas industry are also trying to severely cripple that same industry at the same time.”

It only makes sense to the socialists now running the state.

Chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party and former U.S. Representative Steve Pearce spat out his opinion of the bill: “And since Senate Democrats are so offended by these oil and gas revenues, perhaps the legislature should pass a resolution to not accept any capital outlay money from the oil and gas industry.”

Yeah, but that isn’t how socialism works. They can’t allow people to enrich themselves and not take their cut, now can they?

Those hardworking men and women in the oil and gas drilling industry know that fracking has been proven safe in New Mexico, groundwater aquifers have not been touched by methane gasses, and this latest bill is simply a stunt by the new governor who wants to make a name for herself in destroying her state.

Stan Mobley is one such industry working man. Mobley deals in actual facts and knows fracking occurs well below water tables and that aquifers are safe. Numerous studies with similar results have been confirmed by the United States Bureau of Land Management. After 40 years of tirelessly promoting New Mexico’s oil and gas successes, Mr. Mobley has earned the right to have the last word on Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham:

“Here’s a thought Governor: Perhaps instead of making cutesy Jr High skits of you plowing through sheetrock, you could actually educate yourself and your minions on the facts. This latest attack on the ONLY industry stimulating NM’s economy will k**l more jobs than the babies you want to k**l. To freeze fracking … to study effects is solely political. The studies are done, the facts are there. ”

And this is why we love the folks in flyover states.

I grew up in New Mexico. After being gone for years, on a visit I was astounded by the number of Mexifornians who had decided to export their progressive liberal bulls**t to what was once a nice place to live.

Sad but true, Smed, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Las Cruces all becoming more populus with Mexifornians everyday. I was in line behind a Califunny nut at the grocery store recently, and they did nothing but brag about how great California was. That is until I asked why they were in NM if Calif was so great. I said, you should go back to California and not ruin NM with your California bulls**t. Take your arrogance and money too, we don't need it. We're used to being poor.

We used to call Rio Rancho - Rio Rathole, so many New Yorkers. Now we call it Rio Cesspool, too many New Yorkers and Californnyy nuts.

I think it's remarkable and terribly sad to see ideology/partisanship replace common sense and reason. Whenever there's a turnover in the ruling party, at every level of Government, a frenzy of activity takes place to undo everything the previous ruling party had done, as well as a whirlwind of new laws/rules to mold society along ideological views.

The grand experiment that is the United States of America, was originally designed to prevent individuals or groups from creating a monarchy, from creating totalitarian or authoritarian regimes, firmly leaving all power and authority in the people's hands, wielded through their State's legislature. There has always been a struggle for power, with individuals and groups seeking to force their own views onto every citizen regardless of those citizens personal preferences.

We are not a majority rule society, yet insist on creating majorities and super majorities anyway, defying individual liberties of those NOT on/in those majorities. We might very well need to change some things to bring us back to where the founding fathers wished us to be, such as requiring referendums for major changes to the laws of the land, thus giving EVERY citizen a say in their own government. Our representative style of governance has gone way off the rails.

I do hope you are very young and will have a long time living in what America will turn out to be if it becomes socialist.
I hope it will not, so that most normal Americans will continue to live well.

It's really always been that way, especially around Albuquerque, and Taos where 3rd generation hippy's will
stalk you on public land if they suspect you're lookin fer shiny objects...I know where a lot of good deposits
are but won't go alone anymore without someone hoverin over me with a rifle. Last time I was there I sent 9 lb's
of gold nuggets n' g-dust to ARA recycling via FedEx.

Was glad I did because the next morning my ATM disc lock was picked and stolen off my cargo trailer that had my tools RE: mini smelt and propane tanks, long handle river scoop's, metal detectors, sluice's, picks etc.

That bein said, for decades NM radio and media commentators have openly spewed h**e for minors, prospectors, and wildcatters on a daily basis...to which I say ((Got Uranium))?

Actually how socialism works is that the Oil and Gas industry would belong to the state so that would be the only one being enriched.

As for New Mexico, it is a state were a native will likely have an income below the average. If you were born and raised in Santa Fe but can't so much as afford to rent an apartment then you are likely to welcome economic change. I know you said you like being poor but when I lived in NM I didn't like being poor nor did know of anyone else who would have welcomed such a condition.

The biggest complaint I can remember was outsiders moving into an area and driving up the price so high that someone native was priced out of the market. But this wasn't a new condition but something that was taking place over 40 years ago. This makes me think that your complaint is a bit tardy and if you were going to do anything about it Republican majorities certainly had their chance to establish an economy strong enough that no one would exchange it for socialism. So why didn't you? Why create millionaires and billionaires and then leave the majority poor?

No, Petey, you need to stop with the outlandish psychobabble.

Go back and read the post. Being from NM, living here the past 47 years, I think I have a better grip on this place than you.

As for New Mexico, it is a state were a native will likely have an income below the average. (Showing your true lack of perspective on the subject, EVERYBODY here works for what the prevailing wage is. No matter what. I know people who moved here from California, NY, Ohio, Kentucky, Louisiana, Idaho, etc. Everyone of them made the comment after being here a while, they didn't know NM was so cheap on wages. Thats because "I*****l I*******ts" have been stealing our jobs for 40 years. Why hire an American citizen at minimum wage or more when you can get a Mexican to do the job for half the price. Now, do you understand the "I*****l I*******t" problem here..??

If you were born and raised in Santa Fe but can't so much as afford to rent an apartment then you are likely to welcome economic change. Again, shows how little you know about NM.. If you were born and raised in Santa Fe, you would have lived in poverty, or close to it most of your life. You couldn't afford to rent an apartment because the rents in Santa Fe are based on California, NY and other domiciles from movie stars, well to do politicians (the Gov and all) who make a lot more. Santa Fe has a special 'Zone 3' area for those from Santa Fe who work in the foodservice industry, notoriously low pay, bars etc just so they can afford a place in a mobile home park. There is a part of Rio Rancho, that was built just for the people who work in Santa Fe not to have to live in Santa Fe. Its called Enchanted Hills. Its cheaper for people with good paying "GOVERNMENT" jobs to live in Rio Rancho and commute to Santa Fe everyday for work.

I know you said you like being poor but when I lived in NM I didn't like being poor. This kinda angers me and shows your true mindset. Go back and read my post. I never said "I liked being poor"... What I said was "We're used to being poor"... So, do you see your personal twist showing up yet..?? Don't take my words and twist them to your own personal delusion.

The biggest complaint I can remember was outsiders moving into an area and driving up the price so high that someone native was priced out of the market. But this wasn't a new condition but something that was taking place over 40 years ago. Well, ya, that was kinda my point in the narrative. Why we DON'T like seeing California and New York show up here. They drive up prices, act all snooty, think they are better than us. And, ya, I'm well aware it has been happening for over 47 years. So go back and reconsider ....

To let you know, I have properties in NM, Neosho MO and am connected with Joplin MO. Joplin isn't much better than Albuquerque, but you can find a decent paying job, some in manufacturing. Seems the Californians and New Yorkers don't like Joplin much. My properties in NM aren't worth anything, they are basically 'un-sellable'. Only residential properties and business properties in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Rio Rancho are saleable.

There are NO good paying jobs in Santa Fe unless you work for the government. i.e. - Gov Michelle Grishams little pool of lackeys.
