On Friday, France recorded the highest temperature ever experienced at any location in that country. The 44.3° C reading (about 111° F) at the town of Carpentras is an all-time record, but it’s just part of a massive heat wave that has been baking much of Europe. The heat wave has closed schools and businesses unequipped to deal with such temperatures. It’s sparked record wildfires in Spain and led to water-rationing across several nations.
The five hottest European summers in the last 600 years have all come in the last twenty years. And 2019 is looking like it may provide not just the hottest day, but the hottest week, month, and year as the radically destabilized weather system continues to draw scalding air farther and farther north. Germany is experiencing it’s hottest June ever. Temperatures in Italy have turned deadly. And records have been shattered across at least six nations. The wave of hot air is also bringing up dust from the Sahara, prompting health warnings because of both temperatures and air quality.
And it’s not just Europe. The United States is also looking at record temperatures for June. Heat has spread across every region of the country, bringing triple-digit temperatures from the Southwest to the East Coast. The record heat follows record flooding. Record fires. Record storms.
And all of it is part of the climate crisis. All of it is coming because the Earth is now saddled with a level of carbon in the atmosphere that hasn’t been seen in the whole time that human beings have existed as a species. This is a whole new world—one that is distinctly inimical to the lives and civilization we have constructed.
That’s why European leaders are determined to come away from the G-20 with actual, enforceable progress on the climate crisis. And why Donald Trump is likely to find that Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Salman are his buddies in more than just their love for getting rid of journalists. The United States, Russia, and Saudi Arabia are likely to be the three nations that stand in the way of taking serious action on the climate—a toxic trio fueled by ignorance and greed.
Thanks to Trump, the United States is on the wrong side of history. And also thanks to Trump, history itself is at risk.
It's the hottest day ever recorded in Europe, as E... (show quote)

Daily Kos wouldn't be my favored choice for proving a point personally, it has made misleading claims and failed a fact check before.

But I did find similar information on another site rated high factually.

Or the more left biased but still rated highly for being factual, https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/06/europe-heat-wave-france-hottest-day-ever.html.

My my,,, all those lies.. about what? Heat and drought in India, boiling heat for the soccer games in Spain, Greenland melting billion ton of ice in single day..

Or maybe that does not count because, what the heck, they are not really in your world right..

Oh darn,, what about Florida.. having record setting heat for the next few days.. Is that in the United States? Ask your orange fish wrap so you show your trust for your cult leader..
Hey, it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Gets hot this time of year.

Go to Australia, New Zealand, Argentina. Go to Antarctica. Right now NASA climatologists are estimating the ice pack down there is GROWING at a rate of 100 billion tons per year.

The situation in Greenland isn't alarming. The ice loss is happening on the land mass not in the glacial ice. Planet Earth is a dynamic system, it's hotter than hell at the core, and colder than hell at the poles. In between, we have all kinds of things are going on. Tektonic plates are moving around causing ocean currents to change and water temps to rise or fall, submarine volcanic activity is constantly spewing hot gases and chemicals into the seas, earthquakes make s**t happen.

But above all, there's this huge ball of super hot gases, 800,000 miles in diameter, sitting out there 93 million miles away, that has a lot to say about how things go here on planet Earth. This thermonuclear furnace is around 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface and 27 million Fahrenheit at its core, it puts off one hell of a lot of energy in the form of heat, radiation, and magnetic fields. It blows out these things called "flares" that produce high energy particles and radiation that are dangerous to living organisms. However, at the surface of the Earth we are well protected by the Earth's magnetic field and our ATMOSPHERE. For lack of a better term, we call this baby the SUN. And wouldn't ya know, it has way more influence on our climate and weather than a herd of cows farting methane or a bunch of people driving cars around.

Don't freak out, the world ain't gonna burn up just because a bunch of ideological assholes are lying to you while trying to fleece every nation on Earth and destroy the engine of prosperity.

So what are YOU doing about it? Are you driving a car or use a taxi? Do you fly in planes? How do you heat/cool your house? Do you have a boat? If you live on a farm, did you get rid of your cows yet? All other animals fart, too, why only get rid of cows?

What you need to do is start checking the activity of the sun because that is what influences the climate on earth. NOT cow farts.

Those us who do use less resources simply because it's a more efficient, and conservative way to live are vilified by folks flying around in private jets.

Nancy Peelousy makes more of a carbon footprint in one year than I have made in my entire life.

Consider Al Gore who flies all over the place promoting his books and movies...and his mansions in Tennessee and California (how does he get back and forth between them...I'm sure he doesn't walk!)...oh and his "solar powered" house boat that also has huge engines, and of course his limousines that he gets chauffeured around in every day. He is the biggest hypocrite on the planet. In fact he is using the planet to make himself millions!

They have every intention of finding a way to tax us to cover their elaborate carbon consuming lifestyle.

That is the really pitiful thing about their greed and dishonesty. The plan is for us to be reduced to pennies, while they give up not one thing!

India is reporting that their drought has dried up three major rivers, rivers being a key ingredient to large cities, and 20 large cities will be hit with ground water aquifers being totally dry by 2020, affecting tens of millions of people, the article said 100 million people.

We can't afford to be going to war with countries where millions of people will be displaced when hundreds of millions are being displaced by water problems.

We're gonna go fight India now, huh? Damn, these liberal progressive policies are getting out of hand.

Inslee says we are..but he didn't elaborate. I was left wondering what sting this is.

My sister lives in a beautiful house on the beach in Florida. She specifically put a measuring stick on her beach to record as the water rises. The stick is buried in sand. But we still look at it to make sure it is the right stick to measure the rising of the waters in Florida.

This is a serious stick. It is 12 feet tall above ground, and is anchored with a steel rod that was driven 10 feet into the ground.

The water has been at the same level since 1979.

No one can deny that there is c*****e c****e. The climate has been changing for billions of years. And man may have some impact, but scientists who don't depend on billions of dollars in grant money, or who have political and ideological reasons for pushing man-made c*****e c****e, estimate that man's activities may account for 1 tenth of 1 percent. And so far for the last few decades EVERY alarmist prediction has been wrong. Then when you throw in the statements made by these alarmists that redistribution of wealth is the outcome that is sought, and c*****e c****e is the tool to achieve that goal, it illustrates that this whole thing is a monumental lie and con job.

C*****e c****e, g****l w*****g, g****l c*****g, man made storms, science based t***hs, all concocted to take away America's energy supplies.
And the lefties use a thousand year old trick that the shamans and witch doctors used.
"You give me beads and shells and I will make it rain."
Or:
"You give me beads and shells and animals to sacrifice and I will stop the Volcano from erupting."
Same s**m, different bogeyman.
