U. S. Constitution under sustained assault

Here's something even the left should be concerned about. I am particularly concerned about what appears to be forced warrantless searches of residences in Watertown. How about the rest of you? Yes, I know this is a rightwing site, but the premise questions everyone's constitutional rights, particularly the possible violation of the 4th Amendment by government agents.

I am a conservative, however, I have a great fear of the Patriot Act and the hundreds of Executive Orders which all undermine our Constitution and the rule of law. Further, many of the laws written now, such as the i*********n l*w before the Senate, give carte blanche to the bureaucrats to make up their own regulations which have the force of law. All this is unconstitutional in my opinion.

I have to agree with the man who did the video of those martial law type searches of homes when he said he hoped he wouldn't have to ever see this happen again. Maybe in the States of Mass and Conn he won't since they have such strict gun control laws. I think we may get to see something like that here in Kansas where we can carry either in the open or concealed, with a license.

With the downright pushing the limits of the Constitution since 9/11 it seems to me that we must expect this. Also, since he can't get the gun control legislation he wants Obama may well be doing these things with all his executive power. His executive orders do surely tear away at the Constitution of the United States. Now I don't know what he may make the Constitution of the United Socialist States of America look like.

The question I have is, what would the police done if someone refused entry without a search warrant? That would be completely within a citizen's rights and what was being done was a violation of the 4th Amendment. Would they shoot them, arrest and detain them, or what?

I wonder if anyone tried to keep them out from that illegal searching. Surely we won't hear about anything like that from the media. If someone had tried to force the use of a search warrant, and recorded the whole thing, maybe the police would have used outright force to gain entry.

Yes, those videos do portray illegal entry and violation of the 4th Amendment.

The Constitution: it's not just a good idea, it's the law.
