On skid row in L.A. today
sitting in overcrowded clinic at 9:30 a.m. today. Dr couldn't even find room to put me in. the rush of people for services was cramming every space to the limit and its been that way for years.
My t***sportation was scheduled to pick me up 15 minutes from my appt time. The Dr. blamed me for leaving but he doesn't care that it can take an hour and 20 minutes for them to find anyone willing to go skid row.
waiting in this heat there is a nightmare.
I had a nurse accuse me 'What are you doing in here?" after the Dr. went somewhere else.
The 2nd visit was spent discussing events 35 years ago and signing some forms. second visit. How therapeutic.
I am scared of catching typhus sitting in a chair occupied by a street person. Before I sat down in the only empty seat a guy pulled a canvas bag out from under.
Rats? Typhus contact_?
Sent message to Garcetti's helpdesk three times no answer. Recall imminent. Probably too late for people on the street.
called L.A. Health dept 19 times. Nothing but answering machines EVERY SINGLE DAY.
All the county supervisors should be thrown out. Public Health Dept. people making over $30,000 should fired and made to live on San Julian.
Seems we are making our own hell.

Ahhh Yes! Los Angeles...the City of Angels! And I called a nearby suburb home from 1965 - 1972 (Lakewood). Back then CA was still The Golden State. Now you couldn't pay me to go back and live there. I've got relatives still there, and they're just about all making plans to leave for somewhere sane.
Nothing like Sanctuary Cities to promote *s**tholes* ya know!

Yap, like the saying, says "there no cure for stupid"
I know all too well, I lived in Huntington Beach for 31 years. I watched it sink into the crapper when Jerry Brown's father signed a bill giving welfare to everyone that asked even if they did not live there. I watch the best roads (free) in America turn into minefields of holes. I watched taxes added to everything, I sold everything and moved out.
