carpetbaggers went in to the south to exploit the economic losses of Southerners by using new laws to create wealth. Carpetbaggers usually were legal citizens who arrived with nothing but a carpetbag and left with money in plenty from speculation, criminal labor contracts and buyouts of plantations and landowners who didn't have money to pay taxes.
Wetbacks is a term employed to label i*****l i*******ts, aliens of Hispanic descent who cross the river border on South of American Southwest to gain entry to Unites States illegally. They work under forges papers and shuck identities to dodge lifetime earnings taxes.
