Now, if he were a Muslim and wanted to k**l people for Mohamed would that be better. K*****g for Christ indicates mental illness, k*****g for Mohamed is a valid part of the "religion" and happens in quantity every day

Back on topic.

So you think Pastor Bobby McMurtry is a gourdaphile, or do you just not KNOW!?

To that question I have one answer
I don't know, and I don't care, as long as he doesn't steal my pumpkins.

Pretty sure it is illegal for Muslims to k**l people for Mohamed as well. Even in Florida.

So Abraham WAS insane when he bound Isaac to that altar?

He had faith that God would bring him back! He knew God! Our God isn’t h**e, he wants us to love him with our free will and loving faithful obedience!

I can't guard all the pumpkins in the world, my responsibility is to protect my own property from thieves. On the other hand, if you come to the front door and knock and say "I notice that you have a lot of pumpkins. The deer ruined all our pumpkins and Halloween is in two days and my daughter will be broken hearted if she does not have a pumpkin for the carving contest, I will take you out into my pumpkin patch and offer you the choice two pumpkins, just in case she makes a mistake on the first one. Try to steal them and 4 dogs will get in your way plus two people with shotguns. Ask for my help and you will get help. Unfortunately the "progressives" do not choose to understand the difference.

That seems clearly to be quite a different scenario than the one Jesus commanded. If thieves were to wish to take your pumpkin(s), it seems you are commanded to give them your watermelons as well with a smile and a wave. There was nothing about attack dogs or shotguns, just human to human generosity. You clearly like to interfere, question, judge merit and punish to protect those pumpkins....

Your approach seems much more sensible in my opinion. And safer for our little pumpkins.

Why would Jesus , in this scenario, negate the commandment THOU SHALT NOT STEAL
n the other hand, our garden is fenced in as otherwise the deer would steal them all, and the deer are not obligated to abide by our rules.

It's a mystery, for sure.

Perhaps by softening one's heart and making it an offering, for Christ's sake, one's sacrifice sanctifies two souls?

On par with, "Take no thought for tomorrow..." , "Love your enemies..." a lot of the advice seems shockingly bad on first impression. With imagination, insight, discernment (and/or a pipedream,) one can usually rationalize out something that sounds lofty.

I'm ready to sleep for a bit. Thank you and all for your gracious correspondence.

Hope you had a nice sleep. NPP is going to the hospital tomorrow for more tests to find out why his heart is getting more irregular and weaker no matter what he is doing so I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately.hope they can figure out what is going on
As far as our discussion my interpretations of take no thought about tomorrow are more on the lines of "don't worry about what you can't change, and only think and plan for what you can have some influence over" "Love your enemies" doesn't mean love all the h**eful and evil things they do but love and nurture that which is good about them and help them develop that part of their being so it has more power ovr their lives than does the destructive part. When you have the time and energy would appreciate your comments but don't feel hurt if I tak a little time getting back with you, things are raather up in the air right now.
