He doesn't really have a right to refuse to sell or even make a cake to anyone he wants... think black, muslim, etc.

He does have a right to refuse to deal with messages that are objectionable to him. If the said gay person can do with a "straight" cake that doesn't flaunt gay themes there shouldn't be a problem, so the cake is blue on the inside pink on the outside, how is he supposed to know what the symbolism is unless the gay if making a flaming statement to him.

And...at this point the gay person needs to go find another baker, leave the gay hating bigot alone.

Out of a whole country we only have a couple of bakers stupid enough to make a big deal out of this?

Why did the homo pick this particular bakery in the first place?

What makes you think Christians are gay hating bigots? Why should Christians abandoned their beliefs? Why should they betray their faith? I don't see Christians h*****g gays or throwing them off tall buildings or crucifying them.

The man isn't a bigot. Typical far left winger labeling and dishonest to boot.

Yes he really does have a right to refuse them and I'll bet he was picked because they knew he was Christian and they wanted to make a statement. Its curious you defend these people who keep going after him. As far as I'm concerned they're the ones that need to be jailed and fined for harassment.

This is a colossal waste of taxpayer dollars and they should have to pay every cent back.

The bakers aren't making a big deal out of this, the gays are. They keep targeting this man because he is a Christian. I bet the Supreme Court will get s**k of this.

Yet internet sites DON'T have the right to ban the users they choose to ban?

Yeah its easy to say you’re for free speech when you agree with the speech. The test is when you don’t

First amendment only applies to our government, it doesn't apply to public and private business. Where does one draw the line between individual rights and corporate rights?

You tell me. A corporation is a person and has many of the same rights.

Its a cop out to say we don’t have the right to free speech just because the 1st is for government restriction. Its an innate right that everyone has and its no coincidence that as the internet and social media grew so did censorship. How is it a good thing that businesses can control so much of what we say?

It limits their liabilities. This is a very litigious nation, often times those not directly responsible get d**gged into litigation and that is very costly. The best way to protect yourself from this very expensive litigation is to protect your users from abuses from others. Would you want to be d**gged into court for not protecting a user being cyber bullied by others because the one being bullied commits suicide? Another point is that they wish to create an environment where people can enjoy their time using the services provided. Would you enjoy being cyber bullied. They create reasonable Tos' that reasonable people can typically stay within the lines of easily. Those that can't, they have nobody but themselves to blame. If someone wants a place where they can say ANYTHING they like, they can always create their own place on the internet and speak however they want there.
