I think all of the horse manure that occurred under Obama has created more hatred between straight and gays. I know my position has hardened. I used to just be quiet. I did not go looking for trouble. I even allowed family members to get away with some extreme views because I realize that a lot of it is generational. However, in my own home nobody comes in and tells me to shut up and not say what is on my mind.

A lot of people jumped the shark during Obama. The government oppression of Christian bakeries not baking Gay Wedding Cakes definitely pushed me over the edge. The sheer arrogance of those who did it, and then those who called the bakers bigots while defending the Guvment Kommissars, turned me into No More Mr. Nice Guy. I did not get over that anger.

When you combine that with the fact that Lois Lerner got away with her crap at the IRS, Jussie Smollet walked away with a fine, and Hillary is not in jail when it was proven she broke the law, I say that at least for the last two and a half years the bad guys are not winning.

I was at a party where I had to behave myself. I could not get out of it, family obligations and all. A Gay couple was there, and I was nice to them. We talked about various things and avoided the obvious dangerous subjects. However, at the end of the evening I had to pretend to not notice certain behaviors that I did not need to witness.

I felt that if I can behave to keep the peace, maybe others can too. I am perfectly willing to adapt a certain degree of social hypocrisy, in order to promote the general welfare, but do not ask me to go beyond that level and pretend that I am accepting the unacceptable.

I love the recent story about Oberlin College in Ohio had to pay a bakery/deli $11 Million because they were being called r****ts by protestors from the college. If you haven't read about it in the news, it started when a Black student tried to steal a bottle of wine, was confronted, and two of his friends joined in the fracas. The Dean of Students supported the protest outside the bakery by furnishing food and drinks for the protestors essentially giving tacit approval and support for the protest, even after the original student involved said it wasn't r****m, he just did an i***tic thing.

Son, I sense you anger and frustration. As I said, I detest the aggressive ones but have compassion for the weak who are caught up and according to what I've learned don't know another way out. They are almost s***es, not only to their own desires but are caught in a monied situation. They have no where else to go, no other way to go. That's why so many are suicidal.

I've been propositioned, I've had attempts to seduce me, DC no less. Didn't work.

I've known a lot of gay folks both male and female and have never but once had a problem because I accepted them and they accepted me as who we were.

I try to not condemn anyone for any reason unless they prove to be truly evil. I will defend anyone against being ostracized for sexual orientation until they try to incorporate children into their way of life. They can't affect me but children are a different story. Mike
