Very interesting but I bet that they still go to communion in Chicago.

Chicago could honor the ex-communication. Canonical law may require it. Maybe another reader can give us the information.

This is going to sound horrible but I don't give a s**t about a******n. There are cases when it is probably necessary but there are too many cases where it isn't. My beef is with government funding of a******n. I don't want to see a******n made illegal because that means going back to back alley methods but I don't want to see our local, State or Federal, in other words, us paying for it through our taxes. If you want an a******n get the bastard who knocked you up to pay for it or pay for it yourself. Otherwise there are way too many ways today to not get pregnant. I read an article that the "Day After" stuff is flying off the shelves because so many States are cracking down on sponstered a******ns.
My wife had two miscarriages which almost destroyed her. I was finally able to convince her that was GOD's way of telling us that the babies weren't viable and his way of aborting the babies, caused me to get clipped. Luckly before that we had a wonderful daughter who today is a 38 year old Mother of two great kids and she and her husband and we get along really well. Mike

Probably, but the priests who gives them communion will likely hear from their boss.

Back alley a******ns with attendant fatalities were about 250 in the mid 1960s.
I care about a******ns. If anyone engages in an activity with a likely result, he's responsible for it. If a couple engages in sexual activity, pregnancy is a logical possibility. If you get drunk and then go drive, you're responsible if you get into an MVA and k**l someone. It's vehicular homicide. If you put a bullet in a revolver, spin the barrel, point is at someone and pull the trigger you're responsible.
You were correct though, those two miscarriages (in medicine we call them spontaneous a******ns) that your wife suffered were probably due to fetal a******lity. Most of those in the first trimester are.

Only if he is reported by someone.

We went all through this when John Kerry was told he would be refused communion; that bishop was just laughed at.
