Of course he bills it as making it the biggest 4th of July event in history, that would be impossible to do, it already is the biggest extravaganza in the country. It has always striven to have one of the biggest and most elaborate fireworks displays in the country.

Presidents have understood that people come together regardless of their political views to celebrate the independence of our country. Nixon tried to rebrand the Washington events and make them a make America great type theme, it resulted in a r**t. Since that presidents have kept a low profile.

Trump does not have the capability of speaking at a huge event without making it about his greatness, his accomplishments, his best people, his greatest brain in history. The crowd that goes to the biggest and best fireworks display and celebration in the country is half people who do not care about Trump or what he says, and that is putting it mildly. They would highly object to having to hear his BS and rhetoric.

People bring their families, and they don't need to be exposed to Trump whipping up the biggest crowd he will ever have an opportunity to speak to, a far bigger crowd than he had at his inauguration.

Trump needs to do what intelligent presidents who understand what this is have done, lay low and let people make it about our independence, not Trump.

It is his plan to rebrand it and have a speech, in other words the biggest campaign rally he'll ever have. It is not what the 4th is about, he'd be best off leaving it alone.

Half the people going to the Washington events and fireworks display do not want to see or hear Trump blathering on about how great he has made the country.

Hopefully the celebration will include the Baby Trump blimp and the robotic sculpture of him tweeting from his golden crapper. Until he is run out of office it is every patriots job to humiliate this crook every step of the way.

If Trump wants to have a MAGA rally somewhere else he can go for it, on campaign funds not hooking it into a taxpayer paid for extravaganza that is not about Trump.

I've said I don't like him and didn't v**e for him numerous times. That's never been painful for me to say.

Nor has it been painful for me to say we need to dump both parties and start fresh - get rid of ALL career politicians. They keep betraying us and people keep accepting it beyond all reason.

Which is my point, it is not a day or celebration that has anything to do with Trump, and people should not have to make that choice. Trump does not need to make a huge event about him. For once he can let events be what they are. Not to mention it turns a well integrated day where people from both sides can let be about independence day versus a trump rally.
