Interesting article that describes 4 types of conservatives (and an example of one person in today's world): Jacksonian (Tom Cotton); Reformocon (Marco Rubio); Paleo (Carlson Tucker); and Post-Liberal (Josh Hawley)
I'd classify myself as Jacksonian. I don't think the Post-Liberals are actually conservative, definitely not Republican.

I am a "conservative" that doesn't believe in "debt" and does believe in a "gold-backed dollar." This makes me a person who believes in our once operational "checks and balance-Constitution" and the Constitutional foundation called the "rule of law," both of which are derived from the mindset that understood the meaning of the Sixteenth Century Reformation, not "Pope Leo the tenth's Renaissance."
