Screened combat footage collected from a helmet camera exonerates Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher of one of the charges against him. Military prosecutors in the case of a Navy SEAL charged with k*****g an Islamic State prisoner in Iraq in 2017 installed tracking software in emails sent to defense lawyers. How shameful is that?

Maj. Mathew Golsteyn.... he k**led a bomb maker. And did you know, the lead investigator has pleaded guilty to falsifying his military record and wearing the Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge and Purple Heart medal, none of which he had earned.

First Sergeant Nicholas Slatten, opened fire because he thought a bomb-laden car was headed toward his convoy.

I know that you do not understand how confusing and horrible war can be as you sat out your enlistment from behind a desk. For those who have served understand that decisions are sometimes split second. War is savage, it is blood and guts, it is men dying while other plead for the mercy of death...... None of these men had fair trials and I include Gallagher, for he has already been tried by armchair warriors.

I am a combat vet, Pennylynn, though not very experienced. You say none of these men had fair trials. Even the one that was convicted? And if none of these men have not been convicted, what is there to pardon? Odd.

Changing your history again? So, regal us with your wartime stories, which gave you claim to combat? Battle of Ap Bac, Battle of An Lộc, Battle of An Lao, Battle of A Shau, or some other battle?

They all, to include Gallagher who has not yet been formally tried, have been tried and convicted in the minds of people like you.

Excellent point... How many of our dead servicemen and women got a fair trial at the hands of a suicide bomber, or a Taliban..?? Rack that one up rumi..?? Tell us, how many of our people got a fair trial at the hands of the enemy..??

This is not about who the enemy is its about who we are as a nation.
Many of these crimes are vary good recruiting tools for our enemies.

If we leave it up to ignoramuses like you, we won't have a nation. Our enemies need no help from us in recruiting. We could surrender to the Utopian dream of being the sweetest nation on earth and our enemies would have a field day busting our chops.

You are familiar with what I posted as to my time in Vietnam. No battles. The two times I fired my weapon, a .45, was for qualifying. A crypto-clerk in Saigon. AC, safe, and well-fed. No field exercises. A CO of communications that was a friend in HS. So returning home to a hero's welcome made me feel like a fraud. Happy?

You got the point all wrong. I could care less if they were convicted or not and I am unfamiliar with their individual cases...which has nothing to do with the point, something you might see if not thoroughly focused on me. The point is that Trump even considers pardoning these people, not yet going through military justice, on Memorial Day, taking away from those that are to be remembered for their service and ultimate sacrifice for freedom with honor and by a code. The military is outraged at this possible action. Read the articles!

So no fair trials for all? Try to follow your own logic.
