The humiliating absurdity of labeling oneself Conservative or Liberal

In the Golden Age of TV, this would be like proclaiming to be for Black or White: how well would that work? Do away with black as too dark? White as too light? And the result: we have no discernible picture. Contrasts are vital in everything!

Many of the supposed sanities I have noted previously that so many blindly take as normal or even good, culminates in this obscenity of partisanship. Nothing uglier. And so unnecessary.

The silliness and danger and sadness of such labels as Conservative and Liberal mock reality and the notion that we are an intelligent species. First, nothing is Left or Right. Second, what does Left or Right matter? What is best or just or good for we the people, according to our principles and laws, is all that matters.

How does having a particular prejudicial bent help? In the real world, we are unfortunately left with those who do not think about the issues but simply use their left of right leverage for their own gain. This is the usual business of Congress. Yet if labeling oneself as Liberal or Conservative was ordinarily taken as being lazy of mind and consumed with self-profit, a tawdry moniker, America could become the greatest Republic!

It is the greatest republic, even though your ilk are repeatedly doing everything in their power to change that.

The rest of your post is just filler.

I believer that is a naive notion. Everything in the U.S. politics IS either black or white. You either are for a small but powerful military, lower taxes, closed borders, and a less intrusive (less regulatory) government (which is basic Conservationism); or as Liberals believe which is just the opposite. When a person comes to my door who is running for a political office, the first question I asked them is "What is your political party affiliate?" A Conservative will announce it as Republican. A Liberal will usually try to avoid the question or answer that party affiliation means nothing, or that it is the person who you v**e for not the party. Hogwash! When further ask, "What are your core principles?", I usually receive a deer in the headlights look. When I get that far a way look, I know a liberal is in my midst. Liberals have no core ideas they are willing to express (What are they gonna say, "I'm for higher taxes.") Political party (i.e. or as you suggest - black or white) means everything, at least to me in politics. So to me, a v**e for a liberal is a v**e for a c*******t in training. I'm proud to say that I have v**ed Conservative in every national and local e******n since 1968, and will never consider (and never have) v****g for a liberal.

Not true-----I have seen conservatives, liberatarians, greenies, and liberals ALL have that "deer in the headlight" look. Most have no solutions or ideas, and they just parrot what their political parties want them to say. That's why we can't get anything fixed anymore----there are no real solutions in Congress. There are plenty of good solutions across the nation, but no one in Congress will listen to the people anymore because there is no gain for them to implement those solutions.

If it is just filler, show that! Weak to make an accusation without evidence.

Nice to be so confusingly clear on policies.

That was not an accusation, it was an observation born of long experience.

When a "progressive" asks "why can't we all get along without the d******eness of political parties?" what he really means is "Why don't we all just live the way I believe we should live, v**e the way I v**e, express the same opinions I express?"

If one disagrees on any elements of the "progressive's" blueprint for life, belief and governance, he or she is being "d******e."

So your entire narrative after you open by denigrating America is, as I said, "filler."

By the very nature of a liberal, in contrast to a Conservative, the evidence is against your assessments. Look it up.
