Isn't Prevention A Huge Part Of The Solution To A******n?

Birth control, education, awareness of consequences... reducing unwanted pregnancies, especially in younger girls is far preferable to a******n. Yet the hardest religious right has a freak out about even birth control.

The hard religious right doesn't want the government paying for birth control, they don't want healthcare companies paying for birth control, they don't want morning after pills taken as a just in case thing even though there is no way to know if a pregnancy occurred.

Texas proved that education and providing condoms to teens prevented as many as 50,000 pregnancies in teens. Multiply effective programs across the country and we're talking hundreds of thousands less a******ns or unwanted pregnancies.

Being opposed to a******n is a whole lot different than being opposed to birth control.

I see no reason for anyone to provide any type of protection that can be acquired by the person that would use the protection. This includes the money going to planned parenthood. What a person does with his personal life is just that. Personal. If people were trained to be responsible for themselves, we would have very few needs for a******n.

What's wrong with one paying their own way ?

Would you foot the bill for birth control for all the kids at your local college ?

When are kids suppose to learn to take responsibility for their actions ?

I learned that before I left home !

A hefty application of ethics based on a moral absolute would do wonders.

How about just using condoms....It does two things at once ,,,prevents pregnancy, and prevents STD!! And you dont need Dr's appointment to get it..You can buy in any Drug store or Liquir Store...Its very simple!!!

The biggest problem I see here is the total lack of moral restrictions.. I am a realist and know this will never happen, but how about being abstinent until you marry?
This would solve the issues of so many children without fathers, a******n (for the most part) and sexually t***smitted diseases and much of the childhood poverty. It would end up with decreased incarceration for the parents as well as their offspring.
I am seriously afraid for our nation and pray a lot for a spiritual awakening. We're nearly to the point of cataclysmic no return and Divine justice.

Abstinent until marriage??? Are you kidding? The liberals are pushing wide open sex with either g****r in grade school.. The morals of this country have been trashed along with the trashing of Christianity, patriotism, and any other good and decent trait that was ever popular.. This has to be the liberal mantra. Anything goes no matter the consequences.

No, birth control is the same thing as a******n............................................giving women power over their own reproduction equipment. Girly men ( who masquerade as manly conservatives ), and the i***t women that follow them, cannot abide the thought of losing control over the female body.

This explains why the Unborn are so much more precious than children that ARE born. Dealing with the lives of pregnant mothers-to-be and children, would actually require some thought, action and money.................which none of them have the time for or inclination to consider.

Unfortunately, this is a true statement.

I don't think a pill will ever take the place of self-control. I think people who have no self-control should face the consequences of their actions. Why should I have to pay a stupid on purpose tax for them? Also, sex-ed has turned into porn for children. How many pregnancies occurred because of stealing their innocence.

The problem arises from MEN's inability to control themselves.

I have no problems with the pill as long as it is paid for by the user. The rest of your statement is quite accurate.

I hope you are not implying that women have no part in the problem.. I don’t care what your lubefairy says, it takes two to participate. I don’t know who this Gabriel Blair, but I do know she is an i***t.
