The airline should fire the flight attendant for lack of customer relations. She is replaceable. Flight customers aren't. If there is no danger to the flight, STEWARDESSES and stewards ( yes its politically incorrect, so what) should have to get permission from the pilot or co-pilot before calling the police.
BTW its time for millions of Americans to be politically incorrect. Defy laws, courts and lawmakers who need psychological attention for their bleeding hearts.

I see quite often when the 'grunts' try to take over and become 'director'. In my case, there are signs posted, remarks made to the residents trying to dictate policy or changes. In these cases, it is time for the 'director' to direct and make it obvious who is in charge. Yes definitely, goodbye stewardess.
I am sure she has an agenda totally removed from vodka. Just a guess, some of the passengers were giving her a bad time about the delays and she responded probably to the wrong person.
