I've been in and out of Santa Monica and Marina del Rey lately, usually staying aboard a friend's sailboat when I'm here (it's over 50' long and is fully live-aboard equipped).
Santa Monica and Venice are real skid-row s**tholes these days, especially the Venice boardwalk.
I'm looking forward to my move to southern Arizona, but in view of what's going on there that Nancy Pelosi says isn't going on there I have to make sure I'll have an extended stay place available while I arrange for a more permanent place. I don't want to be ready to go and learn, at the last minute, that the government has rented everything in town to put up refugees, traffickers, gang bangers, terrorists and other assorted border jumpers.

I grew up in Mar Vista, Venice, then Inglewood, I used to live in Torrance and Hermosa Beach (There is no life east of Sepulveda Blvd [or the 405]). After the 1993 Rodney King police beating acquittal r**ts I got out of LA and moved to San Diego County. I h**e driving through LA to go north to Santa Barbara. What a cesspool LA is! But now all of CA is becoming a s**thole because the Democrats are giving everything away and inviting in every low-life by giving them freebies and services. It is just a matter of time before the Great Socialist State of California runs out of OPM (Other People's Money). But I like the weather here.
