Larry the Legend Loc: Not hiding in Milton

If:
I live on a plot of land that has been in my family for thousands of years and has never been appraised by a realtor,
I grow my own food in my own garden,
I generate my own electricity from my own renewable sources,
I interact with my neighbors and barter for what I need that I cannot produce myself,
I have no discernible income in government denominated currency,

Am I to be considered 'poor'?

Ha! Not according to the World Bank!

Of course, they count prosperity in dollars, not less 'tangible' riches...

If you have people around you that love, and help you, and a good dog, you're the wealthiest man on the planet, Larry.

Who cares what they say? If you're happy and have what you need - and as Archie says people around you that love you and a good dog or two or five - then you're a wealthy man.

To be "poor" is only a dream in this country.
I am reasonably "poor", but, unfortunately, I'm part of the problem.

One needs not to have lots of money to be happy !

Neighbor of mine who nephew signed on the with the Vikings was handed an $800,000 check as soon as he put his signature on the line !

I thought Man I could live the rest of my life on that amount and still leave money on the table when I passed on !
