Coined in the early 1990s, Godwin’s Law states: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving N**is or Hitler approaches 1.” The precept that the law is based upon — that any political or social conversation will eventually end in someone making a comparison to N**i Germany — has long since bled over into our offline discourse, and has of late been almost exclusively the province of one side of the debate.

That's all they've got! They can't present a cogent argument so they revert to calling names and smears. N**i is their go-to attack, closely followed by sexual predator, right on the heels of r****t. It's an old, worn out script that keeps on keeping on.
