The US President and Vice-President have never - NOT EVER - been thought of as being Elected by a National Popular V**e.
The Individual States' Congressional Representation - and currently 3 Delegates Representing D.C. - Elect the President and Vice-President.
It takes the Passage of an Amendment by Congress and the Ratification by 75% of the State Legislatures to change this.
Crying and Hissy-Fitting around will not.
