I showed that movie to someone years ago and they wanted to know why the heck I'd do that to them.

The hardest thing most people will ever have to do.

Our dog has past his life expectancy age. He's still fine and peppy, but I know the day is coming. He has been in our lives for 11 wonderful years. I feel very sad just thinking about it.

Gus was my sidekick for a little over 14 years. Even went to work with me every day. Yeah.....that one was tough, but he was there. I'm sure he isn't mad at me, he feels better now.
But.....it sucked......

I keep telling myself that fish are better, but they go all epileptic on you when you bring them out to play.

Wow!!!..So sorry ,Woodguru....Im glad your dog is ok...So what happened to this POS???..iS HE IN JAIL???Or hopefully dead somewhere....

I managed to get him put in jail...funny story. His wife left him, didn't let him know where she was, I managed to find out he had a warrant out for his arrest on an $80,000 bond in a county down south. Made a great case that I was convinced he had k**led her, he wasn't able to prove otherwise since he had no knowledge of where she was. They had a SWAT team out here and arrested him. Unfortunately El Dorado would not pay to have him sent down to San Dimas so they cut him loose after a week. He called the police on me because I had a gun, they told him he had been so threatening that I had every right to use it, and that it was their advice that he get his things out of the apartment and leave rather than risk losing it and getting shot. It was actually kind of funny when the cop told him that with his anger management issues I had every reason to be afraid of him and shoot him.

He was working at a drywall company out of Sacramento, too close for me so I managed to make some calls and get police agencies looking into his whereabouts, and told the corporate office that he was going to cause problems for them working i******s with police agencies checking up on him at job sites. He's down by San Diego now. It's easy to track his whereabouts by facebook with his friend's accounts.

Obviously I'm a dog lover, Richard, and I truly believe them to be some of the most dedicated, and loving animals on the planet.
I've seen them mourn the loss of their human, and canine friends.
I will have a dog by my side until the day I die.

I'm looking at two right now who I will outlive, and don't even want to think that far ahead. Ill enjoy our time while they are here, and meet them at the Rainbow Bridge.

Amen to that...

I know the feeling well. I took my Gus for his last vet visit a while back. It crushed me.

Yesterday was the first time in a while that me and my wife have had a chance to sit down, and watch a movie together. She chose "A Dog's Purpose."
It was a perfectly good waste of a half box of tissues.
I would recommend it if your eyes need a good self flushing.....

We have a standing rule that there are no more dog movies on movie night....

The only thing I worry about is that I might not outlive my dogs. I worry that they will be properly taken care of.

My son told me about a guy he worked with who cried over something they thought stupid, so him, and the savages he works with had a conversation about when it's acceptable for a man to cry.

I don't remember the entire list, but, a dead dog was at the top. Right under Mom, and Dad.

A movie? Unacceptable!

He'll evolve. His Husky "Mabel" is about 12 now, and is the first dog he's had all on his own.
When her time comes, dog movies will make him leak too!

If you know someone who'd be willing to take them you can put that in your will.

What about your kids? I know that if that happens, my kids will see that my dogs have good homes, or take care of the theirselves. We have a deal on that.

I mean, I'm only in my sixties, but people die in accidents every day.
