no I am not saying that at all, I just said that Trump said several times he would release his tax returns like every other President has done. but since he does not want the American people to see that Russia is who he gets his loans from since banks in the US think he is a bad risk. and he has not done very well in that respect, wake up and smell the crap he is spewing out at you

How do you know where he gets his loans from ?

What are the names of Banks that won't loan him money ?

I as well as others have been awake and are smelling the crap that you and the Democrat have and are spewing out at you !

So go on back to Chuckie and Nancy and CNN and who ever else that loves to feed you their talking points as they always are mouthing off crapola that you and your kind love to wallow in !

Of course you are right, John. Most of the complaints lodged by the Democrats are superfluous tripe. They pick out something that they feel will appeal to the e*****rate and embellish it and harp on it until it looks big. There are enough people who will swallow their line and eventually they pile up enough of these that it looks as if it is really serious stuff. Their biggest tactic is accusing their opponents of doing something they themselves have been doing, thus taking the focus off them. Then they yell louder and louder and with the help of their buddies in the MSM, they gain a few believers. Just look at the Mueller investigation. They have managed to keep the focus on that and avoid attention to Hillary, Comey, Obama, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, et al, Where the collusion is really happening. Maybe the tide is beginning to turn.

I like everything you have said! Flat tax is an idea do the time to implement and see how it actually works out. If it doesn't work out, we can fix it or eliminate it. Personally, I sense this is why Congress seems to not get things done . . . they reject the idea out of hand yet bother to admit there is a problem and never come up with a plausible solution to the problem. As in the Border issue . . . they admit to the problem at the border yet end up doing nothing but complain when someone in a position to do something does do something. Example of President Trump actually doing something about the border problem! The democrats and democrat socialists seem to want nothing less than Trump defeated and impeached . . . and shoot down anyone that supports him or his policies.

That being said, I'd really like to see more of Christ in my words and deeds here at OPP . . . but I get a bit angry at some and put out a verbal hit on them. I'm no smart guy having only 2 years of college . . . although I've been determined to have a 136 IQ, it just seems to me that there are some here that get their feelings hurt when some point is made they disagree with. To me, it depends on how ones thoughts are presented . . . I tend to read over what I type a few times to insure it states what I think and for spell-check. Many times I copy and paste someones comment to another program . . . and go sentence by sentence to make my point as clear as possible in reference to their comment.

Also, these are just my opinions!

You've done a good job here and would like to see that in myself.

2 years of college doesn't mean one isn't smart. I once knew one of the chief engineers on the Lockheed L-1011 - a jumbo jet passenger plane. He'd only had a high school education. Another who only had a high school education ended up owning his own - very lucrative - specialized technical business.

Here's what a college education is for - to get a job interview. The real learning starts once you begin the first job.

What happened to his tax returns? I recall him saying on his campaign he would show them, well we're on year number three and he has not only broken his promise but he's doubled down and refuses to hand them over by congressional law, what does that tell us?

And year number 12 or 13 and know nothing about Obama, except that he was not born in America, had two social security cards, one from Connecticut a state where he never had residence, and though he said he was against gay marriage was living in one with two borrowed daughters whose real parents were sometimes treated at the WhiteHouse and on Family Trips. If the crooked IRS found no fault with Trump’s or Trump’s families ‘tax returns you can be assured there was no fault to be found, so stop harping on that and let us see your tax returns.

Now your talking...A FLAT TAX! A flat tax is a terrible thing just like Representative Democracy, except all the others are much worse. It all depends on who you think creates wealth and money. If you believe wealth is created by people and not the government then you should believe that it is your money and not the governments to redistribute willy-nilly. Democrats believe you didn't build that, that it isn't your money, and it belongs to the government. That's why they have never met a tax they didn't like. Steve Forbes has preached a Flat Tax for years as the fairest tax. I think he believes it should be 17% and kicks in after a person earns about $50,000 per year for a family of four. (I honestly don't remember the specifics). I like the concept because for centuries people have tithed 15% of their income to their church and that seems to be a fair amount. This would force the government to live within its means and provide only necessary and essential services. We went more than 100 years without an income tax except for a brief period during the Civil War. Combine state income tax with federal income tax and all the other fees and surcharges that by any other name are still a tax and you find many people paying 50% of their income toward taxes. Some manage to lower them through tax credits and deductions but 2/3's of tax filers file a short-form (standard deduction). There is also the question of estate taxes and double taxation on corporate dividends that I'm not going to get into at this time. The bottom line is that our current tax code it unwieldy and cumbersome requiring millions of work-hours and billions of dollars to prepare and comply with. We waste about 3% of our GDP on this nonsense when we could be putting that brainpower to far better and more efficient use solving real problems.

That is a good one! I may have to use that but I will give proper attribution.

I really h**e to see small businesses die and be replaced by the big box stores. Walmart when it started was all products made in the USA. That has gone by the wayside. Corporations have sold us out for the almighty dollar.

And I do appreciate your views Morgan. It may not seem like it at times but I do. You don't lose your cool even when being unfairly pounced on and are always civil.

On a side note - I know I sometimes have a big log in my eye. I'm working on that. Unfortunately it can't be permanently extricated.

I'm glad we've cleared up this contention, it happens and I appreciate the things you've said and it is mutual. Maybe all this stuff happening is for us all to reestablish the importance of trust and our word.

Stay on here and you will learn a lot. A thick skin helps. I don't know where you are supposed to go. I have found that most will engage in civil debate, regardless of which side they believe. If they're unwilling, then they don't have anything important to say or just want to be surrounded by those who agree with them.

Nope, I'm sorry but Democrats don't believe "you didn't build that" that was part of a comment taken out of context by Obama. What he was saying is that we all don't do it alone, we do it together, from people building it, to people buying it and everyone in between, and it's true. I don't think anyone should be paying 50% to taxes, if it is work, dividends may be another story.

We need to get most of our people working and not just making poverty wages.

Come live in California. The comment I made about "you didn't build that" by Obama wasn't very clear and is constantly taken out of context by others. It wasn't taken out of context by Obama. But the context in which I was referring is that too many people think the Government is the only engine of progress. This is partly true in that we need a legal system that protects a persons' rights, property, and fruits of their labor. That is why we established Patent law in the Constitution.

There are always people who abuse or exploit the system and that from the top just as much from the bottom. I believe people, for the most part, want to improve themselves and their social standing. If they do it's a win-win all around.
