If you are speaking of the Republicans trump will be challenged by Joe Walsh, he was the governor of Massachusetts and is a no nonsense person offended by Trumps behavior and moral baggage. He will give thinking republicans a decent option to Trump. Trump has amassed so much money it will be tricky, unless some of the coming indictments further damage Trump or he steps in another pile. It would be wise for the Republicans to have someone like him in the pipeline, if Trump is jammed up Pence is attached to him at the hip and will not be viable, Joe Walsh, John Kasich and Larry Hogan would all be viable candidates and all are pretty well vetted.

Bernie Sanders might have beat out Hillary for the progressive nomination in 2016, if he wouldn't have been forced to bow out.

People are predicting that the Bern will get the nomination instead of creepy uncle Joe.

Will he pick AOC as his running mate?

She's not old enough, so he'll go with Beto.

I look at the results of the midterms and hope that we turn out so, it doesn't matter.

I also am aware that the midterms usually go the direction they did.

I don't like underestimating any opponent, ever!

Wassup? Afraid of feeling the 'Bern'? The Donald will make him kiss his ring before the campaigning is over. Relax.

Why don’t we wait for the SCOTUS to determine this issue~State laws do not Supersede federal ~~

Article II of the Constitution provides the criteria for p**********l candidates. It would take a constitutional amendment to modify that criteria on a federal level...

Congress has no constitutional authority in p**********l e******ns. Congressional meddling undermines constitutional federalism....

Think about it lone~ V**ers are free to v**e by wh**ever subjective standards and criteria they prefer in a candidate. The E*******l College delegates are similarly bound by their states’ rules. If releasing tax records is important to that many people and is a direct cause of a p**********l candidate not being elected, future candidates can certainly take this into account and determine how to run their campaigns and what information to disclose.

Just because some people (apparently including Sasse) may have tax disclosures high on their priority list for v****g, that doesn’t mean it’s proper for federal legislation to compel disclosure. There are a lot of examples of things some people think would be great ideas and want to happen, but the solution is more often not the government (particularly the federal government) regulating or compelling it.

That’s a hallmark of conservatism. Private individuals, which include candidates seeking federal office prior to their actually taking office, have a right to be free from government intrusion and overregulation. The v**ers are the best solution. If the v**ers demand it, candidates can choose to comply.

This is neither a good nor constitutional idea for a federal law. Congress must stay out of the states’ powers... Since an actual amendment to the Constitution is needed guess what the ruling of the SCOTUS would be??? Hint~~ not hardly likely...And you can bet this will go up well before this year is even over..
