Do you think that hostage situations should automatically be ceded to the bad guys by default?

You don't get out at all, do you?

...isn't that what we did to that kid that died in the hands of the north Koreans?

Nope, but I was in the military. And there were plenty of atheists, in fact so many that we ignored their hopes and prayers and still got home safe, every time we went to sea.

If you’ve never been in a foxhole then you don’t know what you’re talking about.

...stunning, being in the military on a duty station surrounded by Russians on a submarine is a much deeper foxhole than I ever want to see again.

...so mind your own P's and Q's

I think I know what your true calling is, Sew £¥€%#& What.

Have you thought about running your own fruit stand? That way you could mix apples and oranges all day long, and get paid for it.

Actually, I'm mostly retired now, the only exceptions being either steady past or government clients.

But you have this really dumb thing about citing total irrelevancies in response to posts, like some preadolescent or wh**ever.

Your duty station was ashore and you were afraid of a Russian submarine??? How the hell did Russians on a submarine surround you? Did you see any combat at all? Earn any medals for gallantry?

Oh well, occasionally a no account, cowardly Sad Sack makes it into the military. Saw a few of them during my tour in the navy. Most of them got booted out under less than honorable conditions.

I mean in terms of someone tells you that a Democrat blew up a building yesterday, you would justify it by citing how ten years ago, a Republican referred to a female flight attendant as a stewardess.

Your arguments are uniformly inane.

No, I was ABOARD a submarine.

The USS Plunger and the USS Pintado. I slept next to the gun locker in front of the Torpedo room. The periscope well was on the other side of the ladder to get to the torpedo room and the battery well was just aft of my bunk. Damn periscope used to leak all the time, especially when they were doing quals. for the OOD's.

I remember, when I was in local government retail position, I was told not to say, "Merry Christmas," it might offend someone. (Over 15 years ago.) This "gag" order was system wide. As an employee, I wasn't allowed to write letters to the editor or march in a protest. Now, I'm retired. I will do what my conscience tells me to do--write, protest, or make public speeches.

I have been reading more of this control... corporate control, to even go so far as to how you v**e with an underlying threat of losing your job and that what it's about once again, control. It is so very wrong and unamerican, yet it still exists today and may be growing. This is the real enemy.

Their philosophy is that you represent "them" even when you're out on your own. What does that say, how can that possibly be "a free people" if people have an invisible collar and leash tying them to their employer, that is being owned and isn't that what a s***e is? That's Corporate.
