I remember, when I was in local government retail position, I was told not to say, "Merry Christmas," it might offend someone. (Over 15 years ago.) This "gag" order was system wide. As an employee, I wasn't allowed to write letters to the editor or march in a protest. Now, I'm retired. I will do what my conscience tells me to do--write, protest, or make public speeches.
I have been reading more of this control... corporate control, to even go so far as to how you v**e with an underlying threat of losing your job and that what it's about once again, control. It is so very wrong and unamerican, yet it still exists today and may be growing. This is the real enemy.
Their philosophy is that you represent "them" even when you're out on your own. What does that say, how can that possibly be "a free people" if people have an invisible collar and leash tying them to their employer, that is being owned and isn't that what a s***e is? That's Corporate.
