Anyone dim enough to call themselves black, deserves Gods mercy. Because God has mercy on  the simple minded . And only a feeble minded boob, would accept a label that is associated with, and is the symbol of, negativity.

Example.  Black Plague, Black Magic,  Black Market,  Black Ball,  Black List,  Blackmail ,  Black Sheep,  Black Out, Blackhead,  Blackjack,     Blackguard, Black Monday........ and many more.

When I was a boy, my grandpa taught us to refer to negroes as " colored people". And the colored people of Brownwood Texas, in those days, were a gentle people, inclined to kindness and the warmest smiles I have ever witnessed.

Then one day, a colored  man named Martin King was shot down in cold blood in a place called Memphis. That day, all the warm smiles went away.
And in his place rose a man named Jesse Jackson, who insisted that he was black, yet his appearance clearly indicated that he was of mixed bloodlines.
He used clever word association and convinced an entire population that they too were black. Thus began the miseducation of the American colored people.

The smiles turned into scowling grimaced faces filled with anger and h**e. It was understandable as they had long suffered the miseries of the Jim Crow era and of course the assassination of Mr. King. Their protests were heard around the world. But in the end, they mostly did more damage to themselves and their own neighborhoods.

Today, the majority of them cling to the label of " black" as though it were a crown of achievement. This is the sad result of a procession of leaders who have capitalized on their ignorance and kept so many of them believing that they are indeed, "black". Their new leader has no bloodlines related to the American Negro experience. Yet he manages to keep a great number of them veiled and oblivious to the true essence of their beauty. Too many of them have become like the living dead, having no soul of their own, and no ability to utilize and take control of their own minds.

Far too many young black men are lost within the cult-like mantras of the hip hop lyrics in which they repeat incessantly as though it was their religion. Their God's are the  rappers and entertainers. They are being  led further and further away from themselves and the beauty of which they once exemplified.

But there's still a little heaven of a country town called Brownwood Texas.
If you ever happen to visit there you will find a little community around the intersection of Beaver and Baily Streets. There you will find the warm smiles and the simple beauty of some authentic American colored people.

Very Good thoughtful post. Once the NAACP had a good legitimate purpose. Now days they, along with Sharpton and Jackson have no purpose, except the destructive purpose that they create for themselves by stirring up racial hatred. Now days, in part because of them, b****s are far more prejudice against w****s and w****s are against b****s.

I don't believe that the NAACP ever was legitimate, except in their so called ideas they started out with. They have every intention of taking over the leadership positions in the black communities and to take advantage of the situation. The only thing I see them doing is getting rich on the backs of others. Jackson and Sharpton had no intention of really helping anyone but themselves. They have used their positions to line their pockets and normally at everyone's expense. They really don't care who they hurt, but if they hurt the b****s, the better it is for them. Jackson especially found a way to make a k*****g off the backs of the black people. He is nothing but a con artist and could care less about his own people. He just uses them to line his pockets.

A beautiful post. The heaven in Brownwood, Texas reminds me of the heaven in Coolidge, Texas where I grew up and eventually retired to. If there was ever any racial angst in Coolidge, I was totally unaware of it. All were polite to each other, I never heard of any ill will between the races, visiting within the homes or churches was not unusual. Social functions were attended by both. I lived in Texas for a total of 50 years and never heard or saw racial militancy or denigration on either side of the race issue. Race, life, love, hatreds are what you make of them. I advise everyone to wake up each morning declaring it will be a happy day for you, and nine times out of ten it WILL be.

A post that hits true to the heart of us that grew up with Americans as our friends - colored or white. Hatred is a disease brought on by people just like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and members of the KKK. I personally don't go around bashing colored people because of the color of their skin - I bash, and am prejudice towards, anyone who is a criminal, a rapist, a murderer, or a r****t towards me. Bad people don't want to be rehabilitated. They simply want to live a life of h**e and crime - pointed to whomever they feel will take their wrath. The NAACP is simply a colored version of the KKK and they can do wh**ever they please because no one, white or colored, will challenge them - not even the American Civil Liberties Union. The t***h is something that everyone fears in one way or another.

There are TRUE and valid reasons to be prejudiced, and everyone is prejudiced - it is called discernment. It is called how to make judgements. I, too, am prejudiced against criminals, h**e mongers, r****ts, and people who look down their noses at other people. These are people to stay away from. The r****t thing exists today in a few minds who are trying to poison everyone to BECOME a r****t so that there is some money to be had from promoting r****m.

We can easily determine who the r****ts are - when a color becomes a descriptive adjective, such as black coaches association, black history month, miss black Michigan, miss black America - that is r****m at it's worst. Why don't we have white coaches associations, white miss Michigan, white miss America, or white history month? Can you imagine what would happen within the ranks of the naacp if "white" were used as often as "black"? The naacp certainly does not promote e******y of the races - they promote favoritism for their race only and if that isn't pure, unadulterated r****m I don't know what is. I really don't understand why colored people become so offended when they don't get their way just because they are people of color. I have had personal experiences when a colored man rambled on about s***ery and the persecution of colored people by the w****s - when this guy was only in his twenties and had no idea what s***ery meant - it's mainly a generation pass-down thing for colored people who blame all white people for crimes committed over a hundred years ago. It's so sad that so many colored people live so far in the past instead of trying to make the future better for themselves.

Now THIS is what a REAL discussion of race would look like.
