My dear Republican colleague, it's more than a "very few stupid people". It's a Community and political organization. Not a few. I live in a Majority Democrats City's (NY), and interact with them daily. And sometimes it can be extremely scary, not the individual. But there mind set, thinking, incompetent, ignorance and lack of intelligence. Not a few, many and they keep growing in toxicity.

I know the feeling. I grew up mostly in Forest Hills and in subsequent sojourns in NY have lived in Manhattan, most recently for nearly 8 years until 14 months ago.
Most of the conservatives I met during those nearly 8 years were immigrants from countries that the Democratic Party seems to want to emulate, who are somewhat mystefied as to why anyone would want to do that to America.
Being close to turning 64, I am old enough to remember when New Yorkers had more common sense, were patriotic Americans and would have rebelled at much of what New Yorkers today "stand for."
From Andy Cuomo and his corruption, this law he supports for murdering failed a******n children who have been born and who believes the cure for all the state's ills is more suffocating taxes to Mayor Putz DeBlasio, who couldn't possibly become more corrupt than he already is and who is dev**ed to d**gging NY down some lefty path to plumb the depths of mediocrity.
As far as I'm concerned, the so-called "progressives" have about destroyed NY and it doesn't seem like they're done yet.
If there was ever any doubt, the bizarre "landslide" e******n of Ocasio Cortez to the House was as much a commentary on the state of affairs in NY as any.

Well said, Seth, and agreed. Although Chicago has been a democratic city for over 70 years, it wasn't TODAYS flavor of Democrats. And to be honest, in many ways still isnt. Theres still a fair size working class in northern Illinois, and many union workers, who have been leaning farther and farther right in the past several years. The dems may very well have destroyed their base here. Oddly enough their base now is the wealthy and the very poor. I was talking to a young woman before the 2016 e******n who said although she agreed with most of the Republican platform she had to "v**e her lifestyle". She was on different types of assistance, a single mom and student. Now that more people have seen that Prez Trump didn't set off a "welfare apocalypse", as the dems threatened would happen, we'll see. Also, as a side note, many of those same people believe sanctuary cities are not just about i*****l i*******ts, but about "keeping their benefits". Ugh.....
