A big, fat greasy rib wrapped in bacon, a baked potato with sour cream, real butter, bacon bits, and cheese with fried onion rings, beans with ham hocks, and a big slab of bread soaked in butter.
Some people just don't get it.
:-( :-(

I want chives or spring onions in my potato! Where is my sweet tea? Obviously, Mrs. B did not help with this or my needs would have been met. :hunf:

It would seem that the majority of American School kids would rather starve than eat the menu Mrs. Obama wants to force down their throats. I bet there is a large black market in high schools for junk food. It might over take the drug trade.

My hope is that parents will return to preparing a bag lunch for their children. If they do not wish to put forth the effort of making a sandwich, they can send a portion of leftovers from their evening meal! add a piece of fruit, viola, lunch made.

My grandson frequently "takes" his lunch, rather than eat what is there

I remember Sundays fried chicken in my Monday morning lunch bag. Lord, I sure do miss those days.

I use to "assembly line" sandwich making on Sunday evenings, put in a ziplock sandwich bag, vegetable sticks, a piece of fresh fruit, put in a brown bag and line them up in the frig. We did four days. Friday was usually pizza, chicken nuggets or hamburger so a school lunch was purchased.

You can hold the bacon bits on the potato for me. The rest sounds good though although I liked my ribs barbecued. I also make my baked beans with salt pork not ham hocks but that sounds interesting.

It is great to eat like that if you are active enough to burn it off.

Now true happiness only comes from eating if you stop soon enough.
