Hosea chapter 14

Verse 1

We can always repent and change our ways. God has been forgiving sins and pardoning iniquities for thousands of years. Christians today are useless. They want to lead you to Christ, but have never followed Christ themselves. This doesn’t make sense. Jesus didn’t give the great commission to the Pharisees. What good is repentance if you don’t know what is and is not a sin?

Verse 2 and 3

Actions begin with intentions of the mind. We should think before we speak or act. Not only did Assyria not help Israel, they removed the larger part of the children of Jacob from the map. One day, we will abandon religion and follow the true God. Christianity is not a religion, but a reality. Jesus wasn’t catholic, baptist,or methodist. He taught the word of God in truth, and the religious leaders had Him crucified. He also said take up your cross and follow Him. Christians should lead humble lives until God lifts us up.

Verse 4 - 6

Even though God had Assyria remove the larger northern kingdom, He remained with them everywhere they went.They would become capitalist nations. They settled in Western Europe and the Americas.

Verse 7 - 9

God appeals to intellect, satan to emotion. If you think before you speak and act, you will live a more successful life.
