London is Foretaste of America Under Democratic Control

I recently posted about how the city of Chicago is the perfect example of what happens with numerous strict gun controls are passed. Chicago, for nearly a decade now, is one of America’s leading homicide and gun violence cities. The city and county have strict gun control laws as does the state of Illinois, who has a very involved and tight system to obtain permission to own and purchase a firearm in the state.

Yet, what is their solution? Yep, more gun control laws up to and including a total ban of all private ownership of firearms.

That’s what happened some years back in England and specifically, London. In fact, very few police in London carry a firearm, which was a problem during some of the terrorist attacks in recent years. It was reported that in one incident where a terrorist was trying to run over pedestrians, London police were at the scene and were unable to stop the driver because they didn’t have any firearms.

Consequently, more London police and British citizens have been wanting the right to carry a firearm restored to them.

But, that doesn’t faze America’s Democrats as many still want to disarm the American people and abolish the Second Amendment. They want all of America to be like London.

So, what is London like these days?

Let me preface this to say that London and much of England has run about 10-30 years ahead of the United States in abandoning the conservative values and principles that made both nations great. London and the British Parliament has been overrun with liberals longer than the United States and are now reaping the rewards. However, like America’s liberals, they are blinded by their destructive agenda to see that they are largely to blame for the problems they are currently facing.

Mayor Sadiq Khan refuses to acknowledge the real source of knife crimes in his city: criminals. Instead of getting tough on criminals the mayor focuses on political correctness and blames the lack of taxpayer dollars for this “complex” problem (of course).

From Evening Standard: The shocking extent of London’s knife crime problem was revealed today as figures showed that 40 knife offences a day were reported to police over a two-year period.

A person was knifed to death on average every four days in London in 2017 and 2018, figures revealed, following a Freedom of Information request by the Standard.

The figures reveal the total number of knife offences including those involving stabbings and deaths caused by a blade for the calendar years of 2017 and 2018. Met Police dealt with 29,232 knife offences in a two years.

American cities like Chicago, Los Angeles and Baltimore have shown us that strict gun control doesn’t stop gun violence. London shows us that a total ban on guns doesn’t stop violence either.

Democrats in America pushing for more gun control and gun bans will only turn America into another London, where people will still find a way to hurt and k**l each other.

If you have a bad culture you have a lot of violence, even with "bans" on all sorts of weapons. If you have a good culture, you do not have a lot of violence, even if everyone has a gun on their hip (or in their purse). Great article, banner, thanks for sharing
