Well the short answer is because there's no way to sustain the unrelenting invasion that's happening at our southern border.
Last month alone, 103,000 i*****l a***ns were caught at our southern border. That number is well over 10 times the 900+ jews you say were turned away in 1939. In one month alone! And that number is only those who were caught.
Asylum seekers can petition for asylum and it's scrutinized by an administrative law judge. I don't know if that was the law in 1939, but I do know that it wasn't general knowledge that jews were being deliberately murdered by the N**is until 1945.
To all those bleeding hearts who advocate we open our borders to allow whoever wants to come in to our country, I say, 'what are you yourself doing to address the problem? how many i*****l a***ns are you housing, feeding, caring for?'
The answer, I strongly suspect, is 'none'. If not then please tell me the number and exactly what you do to care for these new i*****l a***n members of your household.
I know I don't have any i*****l a***ns living in my home and I don't intend to.
And I don't want my taxpayer dollars being spent on taking care of i*****l a***ns.
Trump is doing exactly what he campaigned on. In fact, he was likely elected because of this very issue, which he repeatedly highlighted in his campaign.

There was more than one ship & the reason they were turned away was FDR’s State Department was anti- Semitic. FDR did not want to make political waves. The State Department had positive proof of what was happening in the 1930’s. Oh, by the way FDR was a Democrat.

If all of what you wrote is true and I believe most is, you would think trump would pass some laws like making e-verfi mandatory and place some Heavy fines and prision time for employers who hire them!
