Trump strives for perfection. So when a particular dept. head stops giving the results Trump expects, off they go and without a big promotion like Obama used to do. DHS is the cornerstone of his entire policy structure, so he wants it "spot on". And Nielsen wasn't getting the job done. It's a real crisis down there and it wasn't beginning to appear like it's getting any better. the new guy has his hands full with a real challenging problem.
