He blamed California when most of the fires occurred on federal and private land. That does not help.
He could hire folks to rake the federal lands, no?

Maybe in the olden days that might have been an issue. Today it's different:

“To me, it represented a lack of understanding of the dynamics of what’s going on here on the ground in California,” said Rich Gordon, president of the California Forestry Association, the state’s primary timber lobbying group. “So in some ways it may be campaign rhetoric, but it’s not representative of what’s happening in California.

“In many respects, some of our timber wars are over,” Gordon said. “People are working at the table.”

Let's make a deal. You folks hold off a bit on what you claim is Trump's lack of understanding of the "dynamics of what’s happening there on the ground in California" and apply the same standard you want from him on the fires towards our understanding of Trump's border crisis. This could be a nice compromise.

Since it wasn't me who said it I have no control over that. Talk to the head of the timber group. From my understanding, in California the loggers and environmentalists are no longer at war and recognize the need to work together.

Basically that all said that Trump is right. Maybe he isn't exactly up to speed on it, but he was right. California needs to quit letting the spotted owl lovers dictate, and manage their s**t. If they need help, ask, and it shall be given if politics is taken out of the equation. Do what's right. Not politically right, or popular, but what's right, and makes sense.

Did you see, or have you looked at where the left denied Federal aid to the flood victims in the mid west over some bulls**t about Puerto Rico not having enough money for their politicians to party on while their citizens suffer? Have you also seen the Americans stepping up, the convoys of hay, food, and supplies, all donated rolling down the roads to help good, salt of the earth people denied by their own government because Donald Trump is in the pilot seat?

We are being used as pawns by politicians, and the two party system needs to go. They don't represent America anymore. They represent groups, and lobbyists. Not the average American.

And, a Spotted Owl, battered, and fried makes a great appetizer for a medium rare Manatee steak with all the trimmings!

The thing said that I always found humorous about the Spotted Owl was that this little owl was smarter than all the environmentalist. He knew if the tree he was roosting in was cut down he could always fly to another.

Lol, this thread has been hijacked. It is about the "border emergency." Oh, well.

We're taking a breather before we get back to business. Besides you folks don't really believe there is a legitimate emergency.

One case of deceased equine abuse leads to another.....

Which brings us back to the topic at hand.
The slaughter of horses for human consumption has been deemed illegal in most of the United States as far as I know.
Why not revisit that in order to feed the hoards coming across our border expecting to be fed, housed, medicated, and clothed?
There are tons of horses out there that have outlived their usefulness taking up resources from shelters that can help, and rehome sound, useful ones.

What's the expression? Oh yeah, "You can't eat a dead horse." So there! Wait. Um, did I get that right? Close enough? I know it's not a bird in the hand is better than being mauled by something. Give me a minute. If I can remember what day it is you will experience shock and aardvarks.
